Which one for me?
So just a plain poll, don't need anyone flaming...Just vote....I want a console but keep in mind that I will only have the thing for 3 years, my TV sucks and I usually went PS series (I had PS1, PS2 and PSP), but I like the idea of cartoony games in the WII.... Which one should I get?

Also, I bet you need PAL specific games.
Do they have something like EB Games there? You could probably pickup used Game Cube games for it cheap.
I say go for the wii, since youa ren't into major online play, and you're TV is mah.
as for you being in the UK, ther eis one proplem with that. The wii is not region free, so if you get a UK unit then it will only be able to work with EU region games.. at least until they come out with a region bypassing tool ala freeloader for gamecube.
as for it working in UK it should, but like I said you will need US region games to play, and you will only be able to connect to teh US wiiconnect24 servers.
If you have a TV with the porper inputs for the wii (composite) then it should work. the power rating says 12v...45W.

Virtual Console is a video game download service that is currently offered by Nintendo for its Wii gaming console. Described by Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata as "the video game version of Apple's iTunes Store", the service features titles from past Nintendo consoles (NES, SNES and N64) and formerly competing systems, the Mega Drive/Genesis and TurboGrafx-16. Nintendo has mentioned MSX compatiblity but has yet to announce any games from it. [1]. Gamasutra also announced that Commodore 64 titles will be released, but no further announcements have been made.[2]
