Ok, who are all the idiots......
Anyone notice that the winning bidder has a feedback of 0 and the rules say you must have an eBay feedback of 50 or more.
I say this is
and someone did this to try to prevent overpriced sales of the PS3
or to jack up the price to milk it for what they could because the seller could allways make a 2nd offer to the next highest bidder.
EDIT:
I just looked at the bidding history, look at how many people bid on the item that had 0 or 1 feedback ratings!

Whats funny is these people who are selling preorders who can not guarantee the actual item. I'm gonna take a pic of all my systems lined up next to eachother with my ebay name so they KNOW that it is in my possession. Preorders can't guarantee anything its only a piece of paper.

Muggers shoot customer in PS3 lineup
Nov. 17, 2006. 08:29 AM

PUTNAM, Conn. — Two armed thugs tried to rob a line of people waiting to buy the new Playstation 3 gaming console early Friday and shot one who refused to give up the money, authorities said.
The two confronted a "bunch of people who were in line'' outside a Wal-Mart store shortly after 3 a.m. and demanded money, said Lt. J. Paul Vance, a spokesman for the state police. The new Sony consoles are selling for around $500 to $600 (U.S.).
"One of the patron's resisted. That patron was shot," Vance said.
He said the two gunmen fled, and the victim was taken to University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. There was no immediate word on the victim's condition.
Vance said police were searching for the suspects.
Short supplies of the PS3 and strong demand led to lines of buyers, some waiting for days, outside stores across the country.
In Palmdale, Calif., authorities shut down a Super Wal-Mart after some shoppers got rowdy late Wednesday. In West Bend, Wis., a 19-year-old man was injured when he ran into a pole racing with 50 others for one of 10 spots outside a Wal-Mart. A Best Buy in Boston, aware it had only 140 of the consoles, got smart — employees gave out tickets to the first 140 people in line so everyone could go home.

I have seriously now idea why people are fighting to get a PS3 at the moment. I guess you can't underestimate the stupidity of Americans.
The system has little to no games worth getting at the moment. It's basically a $5-600 blu-ray player.
Almost every one of the launch titles are also out on the 360 and the 360 versions consistently score higher from every review site as the PS3 versions of the games lack online options and the graphics are suffer compared to the 360 version. COD3 runs at 60fps on the 360 and 30fps on the PS3. Tony Hawk has serious frame-rate problems averaging 25fps on the PS3.
Here is just one example of a review of the PS3 version of Madden 07 compared to the 360 version from 1up.com

The more burning question is, with the extra time since the beginning of the season, and the supposed power of the new hardware, is Madden 07 on the PS3 the best version this year?
In a word, no.
With the same mechanics, it comes down to visuals and it isn't even as close as you might think. From the first play it becomes clear that the presentation lacks the vibrancy of its cousin, and everything looks flat by comparison. Much of the blame lies in the lighting. It doesn't convey the same natural warmth and dynamic range from shadow to sunlight. This is particularly noticeable while playing games in Texas Stadium. On the 360, when you move from the shaded part of the field into the midafternoon sun flooding through the famous hole in the roof you can almost feel your eyes trying to adjust to the exposure. On the PS3 it looks more like it did on last-gen consoles: There's a lit area and a darker area, but no sense of the intensity between the two.
Nor do the graphics themselves hold up to a side-by-side comparison. The fields don't just look flat, they appear muddy. And there is a blurry, soft-focus effect -- almost like you're looking at the screen while trying to cross your eyes. It leaves the players looking rough from the point of view you play in. The camera swooping in for dramatic close-ups also doesn't do them any favors. Many of their faces just don't seem to have the same degree of detail, and similarly, exposed arms look awkwardly plain.

360 > PS3 right now
I think many of these wait in line types will take them home and jerk off all over them. I am being dead serious.

I just think it's the new fad/hotness, and that is why people are fighting over it... just like they do for any hyped up technology launch (360, iPods, etc)....
Just like I did with the 360, I'm staying far away from the PS3 until next year. Maybe I'll grab Madden 2008 with the PS3 in August if EA Sports gets their act together and makes Madden next-gen...
BTW, the bidding on those auctions are fake. Check out the Official PS3 topic for info. People are hijacking the auctions so the sellers cannot make money off of the systems.
In fact, I'm going to close this and direct everyone there since this topic turned into basically the same thing that one is about...
