The Official Favourite Games Thread

Pretty self explanatory thread.

List your all time favorite games and the system that they were on, give a brief description of why it was so great too.

Try to keep it to modern systems like playstation2, 360, ps3, thanks!

The thing I love about it is you get stronger and stronger but still faught weak enemies at times so your strength was actually appreciated.

I must be crazy, because I swear you already made a thread like this.

Nonetheless, you can't ask for all-time favorites and then restrict it to only modern systems.

That said, COD 4 and COD 6 are the top of my list. The realism and the online game play NEVER get tiring.

Add Diablo II to that list as well. Doesn't get much better than hacking, slashing, and leveling up with different characters of your choosing.

The only reason I limit it to modern systems are because I want to know great games that are still relatively easy to get your hands on. Ps1 games, n64, xbox are okay too

I'm trying to find hidden gems

I was pleasantly surprised to find out about dead space while browsing this forum and I hope I find more like that!

You know the title I put probably wasn't the best for this, could a mod change the title to Hidden gems or something like that.

I don't think I would've played dead space if it weren't for this site!
It's just always nice to find a good game out of the blue that wasn't heavily advertised.

well, i didn't own a console between a SNES and ps3.

so the only "modern" console games i know of are recent ps3 games. so i'll probably have to vote for uncharted.

I played that game, I wasn't too impressed. Too much shooting with a shitty aiming system

^I guess you weren't fond of MGS2's ending.

+1 for Castlevania: SOTN also available on the PSN. Badass game.
