Selling 12'' Powerbook G4 1.33ghz / 768 ddr sdram for 500$ to a friend.

Buying (Looking at) 15" Macbook Pro.

I want my new laptop to outperform my Powerbook that I'm on right now.

I'd like to run Autodesk Maya / Pixologic Zbrush / Shake / Nuke / After Effects / etc.

without problems. My powerbook runs Zbrush 2.5 well, but won't even start Maya.

What specs to go for, will a juiced Macbook be better than a base level Macbook Pro?.

Am I taking too much of a loss selling my Powerbook for 500$ cash in hand?

I also do know that I want my laptop to be an APPLE product.
