Mac in the family now

is there a pop up blocker for macs?

do i need antivirus / internet security?

the last mac i owned was in 85 help me out here lol

Firefox has a built in pop up blocker. Works very well, I get maybe one pop up every other month.

As for antivirus... you don't need it, but the possibility of a virus is always there (I don't personally use anything). There are a few programs out there if you want something.

I haven't had any problems with PopUps on my Mac. I use Safari.

No AV software needed, at least not now. Well that's not entirely true. If you install XP on that mac, do whatever you would do to any other PC to protect it.
