Funny...the one I ordered from gamestop thursday night arrived today. I sold it to a friend who was dying for one.
I'm not into schilling, hate that shit. Happy to pass it on to a friend, for what I paid, who just wants to play the thing.

^ That was one of the big criticisms I've read.
Supposedly, wireless remotes are on the way, along with cord extensions.

Here the real problem...its not that cords are short. You HAVE to be by the machine to use the rest button, which is how you save games and change games.
I've got it set up where it works well.

Funny, my old NES stopped working recently. I think I just have to clean it, but still kind of frustrating it doesn't work when I want it to. I guess the old NES' are out of style since I don't think these games look too well on an HDTV unless you upscale it like this does.

Blow on it, like harder or something :-) Glad to see they have star tropics. I'd also miss double dragon, top gun, Contra, Kid Icarus, Lode Runner, Paperboy...

I wanted one bad, but none seem to be coming available. I just ordered a raspberry pie and am going to build a little emulator box. There's a custom build called retro pie which has all the emulators built in, you just have to copy the roms over and your good to go. NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, PSX all on the same little box.

NES really screwed the pooch with how they handled this...they do it with every release but this one seems especially bad. This could turn a lot of people off of the Switch if they pull the same shit with that release.

Can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm not camping out over night.
So I don't even want this anymore.

My friend is building a Raspberry Pi, and he hooked it up and programmed a sound card with R2D2 sounds, and is building it into a R2 bank with lights, etc.

Nintendo Classic Mini NES is being discontinued €¢ Eurogamer.net
Nintendo's hot ticket retro item, the Classic Mini NES, is being discontinued, at least in North America.
"Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year," Nintendo said in a statement to IGN.
"We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologise. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product."
Nintendo further noted to IGN that the "NES Classic Edition wasn't intended to be an ongoing, long-term product. However, due to high demand, we did add extra shipments to our original plans."

Guess mine will become worth something...too bad my kids would kill me if I ever sold it.
I see lots of people online saying how stupid nintendo because of money, etc etc etc. What they dont get it that Nintendo doesn't care about the money. They have a cash reserve that can last them a good long time.
Plus, I wonder if this bears credence to the rumors that they want to release different versions with different games. So, could a new one with all different games be coming?

If people spend x hours on playing NES Classic, that's x hours less that they will be playing the Switch.

I dont know. I play the switch...my kids are playing the classic. And sometimes its nice to go back to the old 8 bit, side scrolling non 3D, non open world games. Satiates a different appetite.
