Interesting.
I won't discredit it....but I'm not holding my breath either. Haven't had a handheld gaming system since my gameboy pocket 15 years ago. I wouldn't mind having one to waste time while traveling, etc. Maybe this'll interest me more....

3d without glasses?? unless the screen is a some kind of multilayerd display i dont see how it can possbly be 3D with out the glasses. although there are some methods of 3d that dont require glasses they are very subtle and some people just dont see it at all...

It will most likely be a lenticular screen, in which case, no, you dont need glasses.

i was reffering to the "wiggle" method. the pulfiric (sp?) method can add the illusion of depth esp when camera pans horizontally. without glasses but none of them are very effective. magic eye wouldnt be good for gaming as you would be restricted to holding it a certin distance.

im sure they already got it planned out if they are announcening it nintendo dont sat shit till its out. for the most part i am just interested in seeing it in action.

yea, i know it didnt really apply to nintendo's new device, i was just chuckling b/c it reminded me when you said this

and you must of been one of those kids

when done correctly, you can see magic eye at any distance. has more to do with eye control over distance of the image.

I just look at it in the store, pretty cool, with 3D turned off the graphics are much better than previous DS's.

I have a friend who got one...I'm checking it out today.

Doubt I'll want one...just entertained the idea for a second because I'm sitting on tons of trade in credit.

Spent time playing with my friends today.

Has some cool stuff, the built in games are pretty wild and showcase the 3D. But the 3D can be mind numbing. and I dont think its worth $250...will have to see what games come out.

The system launched with about 10 games. Just take a look at amazon.com. The Tom Clancy game is getting for good words.

I was on IGN looking at everything prior to writing my OG post. Not too many good reviews across the board.

What happened to the days where a nintendo system debuted with a mario game and it was awesome.

These days its basically common knowledge and expectation that when a new system debuts, the initial release games are just meh.

some killer 3D mario game should have been a launch title.

I'm very disappointed in the DSi online store. The games are crap. There are much better games for $1 for iOS. I read somewhere that Nintendo thinks that good cheap games are killing the industry.

Family member got one...I played with it a bit over the weekend......very underwhelming to say the least.

More hype than anything else.
