Anyone play it? I wanna get a copy tomorrow from Gamestop (I think its 30) or on Ebay for 27 shipped new. I've heard nothing but good things about this game and I have the first one from 04ish. Anyone here played it yet? Looks really good

The game is great. I haven't played the Black version, but I beat the original when it came out. One recommendation is to play on the easier difficulty level as it is an extremely hard game. Overall one of my favorite games this gen.

 

Great friggin game. But don't even attempt it if you suck at videogames and have no patience.

This game has old-school flavor in that you will probably die many times before you "figure out" how to beat certain areas and bosses

I'm like that now with the other Ninja Gaiden. I haven't finished it yet but I will. I just have an affinity for great games and want to own them all hehe

 

Got it along with the Halo 2 Map packs. Time to put them to the test...look out for the update later this weekend

 

damn, ninja gaiden was tough as hell on the xbox. I only made it to the red lady in teh church building and just kept dying there because I didn't have any health. I just gave up after about 20 deaths, and tried to start froma previous savepoint about 3 gameplay hours back, didn't feel like replaying those 3 hours so I just returned it.

 

I guess telling you that I beat her on my first try is kinda you in the patootie, huh?

No. And I'd be lying if I said that...

But, I was able to defeat Alma on one try...I just used the Inferno Ninpo on her and it took off alot of her health and was able to defeat her.

Hardest boss for me in the game were actually the tanks in the fortress stage...

 

Ninja Gaiden Black should be easier. It has a new difficulty called Ninja Dog which is easier than the regular Xbox Ninja Gaiden. If the game gets too difficult in the normal difficulty, you can try that one

 

not really. was just bad luck/stupidity on my part. I had less than half health, no health potions at all, and the most recent save location (I had been using the same save slot for a while) didn't allow me to buy any more health stuff, so I was pretty much fucked. Only if you can say you beat her without using any health potions having less than half health then that would be a .

I might have even beat her after all I don't really remember.

As for Ninja Gaiden Black, I got to the second boss on the bridge who rides the horse and has those guys that keep teleporting and shooting those orbs at you. I died at that part so quick it was stupid. I got worn out from the other guys on horses who shoot the arrows and ended up using most of my elixers to heal. So I have like one left to use on the boss but well I keep getting my @zz kicked

 

Its a great game! I beat the original, and went back and beat black. Its pretty much the same game first time around, but after you beat the game you unlock more stuff.

 

What about the hurricane packs

 

Yeah Alma was super hard for me. After that the game was cake. I might rent this.

 

Yeah I saw that part on the demo in the beginning of the game. Looked hard. Are the tanks shooting you too?

 

Yessir.

And it took a few tries to beat those tanks...I still break out into a sweat to this day when I think of that fight. (always end up beating them by a hair and needing to use up health potions)

 

Why can't I remember the tanks. What part is that?

 

I'm on the 3rd level now (The airship.) To beat the 2nd boss all you have to do is charge up your power attack, wait for him to ride near and slash away. If you get attacked by the teleporting samuri, just keep slashing at them until you get the blue orbs for health. THen repeat. Use the fireball Nimpo to shoot at the horse man too and it should make it easier.

Took me several tries but I finally got it the other day

 

BTW, on super hard I couldn't beat the 1st boss.

 

On 14th chapter. Game is haaard!!! Beginning to get pissed off.

 

It's downhill. Chapter 14 means you already fought Alma who was super hard. There was one boss pretty far in the game that was tough.
