This week I bought Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Acid 2 and Pursuit Force.

Metal Gear is awesome. If you liked the first one, this one is even better so far. I just started it, but just the graphical style alone is cool. I actually prefer the old graphics, but its still good. No rating yet as I just started it.

Syphon Filter is probably the best game out for PSP right now. Everything about it is great, except that its pretty short. Graphics are beatiful, not one ounce of slow-down no matter whats happening. Music is great, but like most PSP games, headphones make it better. Controls take a sec to get used to, but its not that bad. After the first level, you'll be good. Everything is voiced, so there's not much reading involved, unlike Acid which is all text. 5/5 stars

Pursuit Force is one of those games that has a gimmick, but you dont find it being overly corny. The game is fairly simple at first, but gets pretty tough down the line. Graphics are great, controls are awesome. Where this game sucks is when it takes you on foot. They rushed this and it feels very crappy. Other than that, you can jump from car to car and then drive the vehicles. You jump to the enemy vehicles and shoot them to take control of them while they swerve to try and make you fall off. 4/5 stars

 

Sweet I plan on renting spyhon filter and if I like Ill buy it. I havent gotten any new games sinc christmas. Im still waiting for an amazing game to come out to make the PSP complete. Why cant they release a final fantasy game or a really good RPG?

 

I'm thinking...should I ask for a PSP for my birthday or should I not bother with getting one. Is it worth the money?

 

I like the PSP. It is overpriced...but I do enjoy it.

On a personal level, I like arcadey/puzzle type games for portable consoles. So, for the most part, I don't like a chunk of the games released so far. But, I do have my staples: Lumines, Capcom Classics, and Virtua Tennis.

 

Depends do you travel a lot. I havent used mine that much since I havent travled that much. But when its my lil bro graduation im gonna play it for hrs. Yea I like it however there is no stellar games yet. If you do get PSP the best games right now are Socom Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo, GTA liberty city stories, and MLB 2006 if you like baseball. Im gonna rent syphon filter so what that is like.

 

I loved Syphon Filter, I would play a little everynight, I looked forward to it everynight before going to bed.... kinda like I did with GRAW on the 360 (I got to the end... both of them) then... I got Splinter Cell for the PSP, it's okay... very unrealistic in some ways... you'd be like crouched down right in front of a bad guy and he would even notice you... or if you shot one bad guy... the other one would react only for a few seconds... and if you kept your distance, then he'd go back to pacing around as if nothing happened I just hope the 360 version will be a lot better...

 

Is GTA LC Stories good? It comes out for PS2 tomorrow, so I was wondering what it's like.

 

Its good for the PSP, so if you dont own it and love GTA, I would spend the 20 bucks and get it.

 

I played X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse and thought it was a good game. I only rent games since i travel a lot and at blockbuster you can rent them for a week. I have only played games here and there and only own Madden. I would like a longer RPG to play also.

 

GTA is my favorite series, and it's only $20...just wanted to make sure it was worth it. Thanks.

 

Supposed to be a Final Fantasy game coming out soon for the PSP

 

that would be nice...maybe then i'll have a reason to buy another game.

 

Anyone have any recommendations or must haves?

I just got a PSP today!

- Sega Tennis (Virtua Tennis)
- Gradius Collection

 

I really enjoyed Socom and Syphon Filter... (I, actually liked them better than some of the Xbox 360 games!)

...right now, I'm hook on that... that very addicting game -"Sudoku" (it's a puzzle game)

 

Syphon Filter is a must have.

I just recently picked up Field Commander, its a war strategy game. I am addicted to this game. If you like games like Command & Conquer, you;ll like this one.

Also good are the Metal Gear Acid games, Kingdom of Paradise is an awesome game as well.

Miami Vice - 3/5 stars so far.
Graphics are good, but gameplay is pretty simple. Its also a very short game per the online reviews. Pretty cool game, but not worth the in-store price. Pick up on Ebay for cheap if you do get it.


Tekken - 5/5
Game is perfect. Plays just like the PS version. Graphics are insane. Lots of characters that you don't have to unlock to use. Lots of modes.

have not received Lenneth yet, but it looks pretty good from the reviews I've read.

 

Hm what about street fighter 3 I dont want to buy a lot of games since I dont play PSP too often. But I just dled this program that allows you to stream music, photos, and vidoes from your computer. PSP rocks.
