Need for Speed Carbon
Electronic Arts announced today that Need for Speed Carbon is in development and will hit the streets this November. Developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, British Columbia, Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of adrenaline-filled street racing and will challenge players to face the ultimate test of driving skill on treacherous canyon roads.
"We pride ourselves on our ability to reinvent the franchise and continually uncover new and exciting trends in car culture. Canyon Racing is a real test of a driver's skill and we think it provides a fantastic game play opportunity to lean into," said Larry LaPierre, the game's executive producer.
What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed™ Carbon immerses you into the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighborhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of customization giving you the power to design and tweak your crew's cars in every way using the ground-breaking new Autosculpt™technology. Represent your car class, your crew, and your turf in Need for Speed Carbon, the next revolution in racing games.

Im not wishing for rfactor physics where you have to have a steering wheel to drive, just somthing that looks a little better.
Who remembers the NFS series before the rice burner era. NFS, NFS2,3 and 4??
No doubt, ill most likely get Carbon and like it, I just wish it were a little different.

yea, that was only in SE......nfs 3 was bad ass!!! I rem. i d/led the demo with the vete and was in marvel over teh interiors with working lights...that was seriously ahead of its time for games, not to mention all the downloadable content!
Hell, I remember Need For Speed II, where you could cheat and get to drive a T-Rex, or outhouse
That was for PS1...
But I also remember NFS: II for PC aswell. Racing over dialup was fun, in the 90's...
NFS Carbon looks cool, I will get it, of course...

You have a great point about Street Fighter though
Those were pretty much literally all the same game!
The first NFS is such a classic. I used to rock the NSX all time. I would race my buddy who was a Toyota faithful and I of course was and still am a Honda fan.
Remember the cool FMV they had for all the cars? They would show them testing and doing research for all the cars in the game.
Hmm, I think I might have to dig up my old copy and play it tonight!
On a side note, I received NFSU2 last Christmas and still haven't opened it up! LOL

Haha LaidBack. Me too, the NSX all the way. Then it was gone from the game. Haha. I stopped playing after six. I never went into the tuner craze, kind of always liked the exotics. Test Drive Unlimited is where it's at. I played Most wanted, and beat it in less than 8 days. (The first three black lists in one day. The next three on day two. then two the next day. And finished up one a day.). I got it in a way where i had the summer to play.
Carbon feels that it's going to be cool and will have nice features, but i want my exotics back
