Which one should I get fro ps3?


I've always been partial to NBA Live games since I was a kid but had to get 2k7 since Live wasn't out but I really enjoyed that one. But with the new Live coming out next week, i'm torn

 

try the demo of live on the ps3 store. I really like it. however, I already preordered 2k8 when toysrus had their buy madden, get any other game 50% off. if i don't like it, i'll just get live instead

 

Awesome, i'll try out the demo. Is there a demo for 2K8 also? I'll have to check it out tonight.

 

i've yet to play an S2K game i liked

 

i don't think they have a 2k8 demo up. I really didn't like last years though (2k7). gameplay was crappy IMO, and the graphics weren't very good

the old dreamcast 2K games were AWESOME though

oh, and stay far, far away from NBA08. I thought last year's demo was decent, but this year, the game looks exactly the same, and the gameplay has gotten worse

 

Yeah 2k7 gameplay was alright, but i had to make due cause i didn't wanna get NBA 07...i'll be sure to stay away from this years also.

Im getting 2K8, I have been done with Live since 2001.

 

2k8 is what Im getting.

 

2k8 demo is up on the ps3 store. I will be exchanging mine(which I preordered) for NBA Live most likely, or possibly even a non-basketball game

 

All the reviews I have read put 2k8 over Live '08 as the mechanics are better, along with the AI. Live '08 AI drains 3s like they are shooting free throws (very much like '07).

 

I feel like most review sites have hard-ons for 2K games. NBA 2k7 was pretty shitty IMO. and what i've seen from the demos, live is a much better looking, and better playing game

 

So i dl and played both demos...

Live 08 - looks wise and game play is IMO, superior than 2K8. EA Sports has def stepped it up on it's new games (Fifa 08 looks amazing also). The game play is however a bit too assisted at times, hopefully i can adjust some settings on the full version. Players look kinda tiny during the game compared to 2K8. Overall, it's a much more realistic game than 2K8...if that's what you're going for. 2K8 - Compared to Live 08 and 2K7, the game play is not nearly as responsive. I had more fun with Live 08 at first take.

Just my opinions, but i think i'll be getting Live 08...and then Fifa 08 when it comes out the following Tuesday
