My First Build!
Finally got around to building my first computer...and I gotta say, it was a lot of fun! I designed the build such that I could have ample opportunity to upgrade over time, and to this end I hope I accomplished it. I am SUPER impressed with the USB 3.0 speed boost and on-board audio of the MB...anyway, enjoy...nothing spectacular, but this baby is solid!!! All said and told, I believe I was around $1200, which included updating the O/S to Windows 7.
CASE - Fractal Design Define R4 (this case is MASSIVE)
MOTHERBOARD - ASUS Gryphon Z87
CPU - Intel Core i3-4330 Haswell 3.5GHz
POWER SUPPLY - Rosewill 550M
O/S SSD - Samsung 840 Pro (128GB)
MEDIA HDD x 2 Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX (500GB)
GRAPHICS - ASUS GTX650-E-1GD5 GeForce GTX 650
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2
DISC READER - ASUS Black Blu-ray Burner SATA BW-16D1HT
She posted on the first attempt and EVERYTHING worked wonderfully!!! The only issue I had was the continuous loss of the ethernet driver upon reboot...this required an updated and flash of the BIOS, but once that was completed, we were up and running!

Awesome. Building your on puter is definately better then any brand puter out there.
My nephew build mine, had it for 5 years and not one single problem. No blue screen yet, lol.
I had Dell before, and it always seems to break down right when the warranted is over, hmmm.

Looks good! I like your case, very clean.
My first build was around $1.2K as well and it's lasted me 5 years with no problems. The only thing I've upgraded so far is the GPU.
After seeing your pics I sorta want to build another system though. Thanks.

Ahh Windows, the cables, and $60 in case fans will do it. Yea, not bad.
I just wishlisted a system on newegg 4770 i7, 16GB, Asus gaming mobo, 128 Evo, 760GTX, 600watt, $50 case though, 24" 144hz LCD and it only came to $1200 I think.

I'll be able to upgrade the CPU and Video Card in due time...I was most concerned with getting a higher end MB and a proper case so I can build well in to the future.
