Looking for a gaming PC
Looking for a gaming PC
I don't need anything fancy, don't really care about bright lights in the case or anything like that though I don't mind it much. I just want an affordable pre-built system since I can't be bothered to come up with a shopping list of parts and I don't know whats good and what's not. The only reason why I want to ever take off the cover is to clean out the dust.
I have no idea where to start though. A brand that has a rep for gaming PCs I know of is Alienware - but that's about it, and aren't their computers kinda expensive? I guess what I'm looking for is, what websites/stores/brands should I be looking at? I've tried newegg also but a lot of their machines seem to need upgrades
If it's from a seller that offers no interest payments, even better. I dunno if I'd feel comfortable with dropping a grand all at once on a computer.

The reputable gaming brands are all fairly expensive.
Falcon Northwest, Alienware (now dell), Voodoo (now HP) all make you pay a bit more for the name and what are very nice cases with good cable management.
On the other end of the scale you have ibuypower and cyberpowerpc. Both I think are available via newegg, but they are basically built from the same parts you would buy to put one together yourself.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883229199 this one for example is a fairly mid range gaming machine. It uses a cooler master case with a modified side panel, and the cables are just zip tied neatly to the case.
