LCD monitor recommendations
Any here use an LCD monitor for gaming? I'm looking to get a 17" but I'm worried about ghosting, etc. with FPS games. I know the 8ms monitors have made LCDs good for gaming but I wanted to see whether anyone here can give me some real-world experiece.
If you know anybody that subscribes to Maximum PC, they recently did a roundup of LCD's with gaming performance as one of the primary considerations. At least, that's what I remember my friend showing me.

I personally use the Dell 2001FP 20.1" monitor. It is rated at a full color 16ms gray to gray response time. No detectible ghosting. Excellent, and can still be had for $450 with Dell stackable coupons.

Well, I just ordered a new Dell 1905FP for $299. Hopefully it'll work for games, I couldn't pass up the 40% off deal I saw at Dealcatcher.
"With four USB 2.0 ports, two located on the side of the display, the 1905FP enhances your visual experience." Why do I need USB ports on my monitor?

I would recommend the Samsung 172x. It's got a 12ms panel, and the contrast ratio is excellent. It's super thin and looks hella cool. The only downside is that it doesn't pivot.
This monitor used to cost over $400 when it cameout. Newegg has is on special for $200 this week, after two rebates!

i have the 2005fpw and play games, too bad my vid card sucks
games look good, but i find that you really cant enjoy it unless you have a beefy enough vid card to run it at a widescreen res and also native res...which looks sick
