Just Bought the Wife a Wii

I bought it off Craigslist, and it did not come with controllers. Anyone know where I can get them for cheap, i.e. less than $40 retail cost?

Anyone have the Wii Fit? How is it? I mainly bought the Wii for her because she likes exercising.

Controllers are like $35 bucks each. Wii Fit is ok, but gets old. Mario Cart is cool.

^^ not that I know of. I know it outsold the 360 2 to 1 in 08 and outsold the PS3 5 to 1

I dont have one, but I heard Boom Blox is really fun and won wii "game of the year".

amazon.com seems to be a few bucks cheaper than everyone else on controllers/games.

You can get a used controller from some video game stores for like $35 but you might as well buy a new non abused one for $5 more.

The wii fit is good cuz it has all sorts of actiivities for exercising including yoga. I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a balance board though.

Bite the bullet and get some Wiimotes add a few nunchucks and a classic controller to mix it up, they'll get used. The Wii is the gaming system for people who don't like gaming systems - I can't believe how much I enjoy mine.

Besides some updates, I have had no issues at all with my Wii and it has seen more use then I'd like to admit!

^ Yeah I was definitely against the Wii when it first came out cuz I thought it was geared more towards the kiddy crowd. Then I played it once and was completely hooked due to the variety of ways it gets you involved. Now I've gotta go get all of the above mentioned as well as the charging stations, balance board and all the other accesories.

Go with Energizer rechargeable batteries and get a few recharge stations, they are WAY cheaper and offer more flexibility. If you have twice as many batteries as you need you will never be with out as long as you are moderately good at charging the dead ones.

We recently bought one as well with WII Fit & Rockband. The WII Fit if you put dedication and time into it, it will show you result, its accurate, works great and takes about 30 mins/day to do a proper work out, it was a good investment - only reason why we bought the WII.

I haven't seen any huge deals on Wii remotes/nunchucks. And I'm on slickdeals all the time.

Kill 2 birds with one stone and get Wii Play its like wii sports as it has multiple simple games and best of all it comes with a controler! its was only 40 when it came out you may find it cheaper now.

I saw a Wii Essentials pack for like 35 bucks at target it had a BUNCH of wii accesories one of with was a wireless sensor bar.
