Jap PSP upgrade

My gf bought a PSP from Japan. Can she still download and install the ver 2.0 upgrade from the US site?

if she bought it recently, it may already have 2.0 on it - it will tell you you can't install the US version of 2.0 since it's already at 2.0 - otherwise, you should be able to do it.

I checked, the version is 1.5. It doesn't have the built-in browser thingy
