its not worthless if u actually are playing the game, which is what this topic is for (people who are playing the game) they will acutally know what im talkin about.....

and yes the game is great, i think its a little more difficuly, alot more enemies..moves faster, enemies are stronger...overall its more of a challenge ...i jsut had to take a break from all the action..

 

friend of mine just beat the game on normal

 

just played 16 player CTF, got owned but had fun, i like it but it is harder to see people imo, but there were 4 people on a ~32in tv

 

played for about 6 hours...freaking awesome...tactically the game could not have been better. Chosing the right weapon for the job is awesome.

My favorite level has been the one in the jungle...somthing like "Jackels in the bushes" or something

I never knew and heard of this game at all.. and just know about this from my host family few days ago..

and.. when i went to mall today, i saw hella long line near the game shop..

so, i was like.. "what is this line for" and.. they were like.. "duh..we are getting halo 2"

man.. i gotta play this game soon!

 

good game but I think I may be retarded. In coop play how the hell do you choose difficulty level? I didn't see a choice pop up like in the single player mode.

Man it is good though, agree with above. Cut scenes are just amazing.

 

i was thinking of picking this up around christmas time when i move.... one solid weekend and i bet i could beat it... on normal at least

 

I am at the same spot. Not a fan of this section so far. It is hard as hell to tell who is the bad guy/good guy. Only way is the target turning red.

Still an amazing game so far.

 

I play all of the above on PC.

i will have to say i am a little disappointed. they took away some of the multiplayer options for some reason....why take away anything from the game? most notably no unlimited grenades

i finally picked up my collector edition copy yesterday after work and couldnt wait to get home and test it out. but, my friend called me up and told me his car wouldnt start, so halo 2 had to wait. change out his starter, and we both race back to my house and got on to halo around 7 and didnt get off till 1AM. that game is worth every penny!

 

it's so easy to just sit there and play the campaign and just lose track of time. there are no dull moments and essentially no load screens that give you the chance to get up and leave.

gonna finish the campaign before hitting you guys up on Live.

I only really play PC games, it would be nice to get acurazine servers going....hl2, ..unreal04..doom..anything.

i play mostly PC games too, but unfortunately... people never get organized to play PC games.. whereas we have had huge, consistent, gaming amongst console players.

i have a few 2 month free membership, but i think its $50 when you buy the entire year at best buy and 7.95 a month after that..

I am going to have to pick up Halo 2 tomorrow.

A couple of my buddies already picked it up, I did overhear in the elevator today some guys from another company/floor mention how a guy in their mail room beat the game in 7 hours must have been on the easy setting. I like to play in legendary mode

 

Ok so im at the area where there are 2 gondolas side by side, and when you jump to one the other moves, and its stops, and you have to go back and forth and back and forth to the get them to go forward...please tell me there is a better way. cause this is ridiculous and taking forever...and then i end up in the drink before im done.

 

um...i dont think you need to jump off of one to the other...i think if you kill all the baddies on the other one, the one you're currently on will start moving on its own

 

nope, did that. how the hell else would i be able to jump back and forth.

 

hahah, picked it back up and tried again...i was getting on the wrong gondola going in the wrong direction got it covered now...the underwater elevator is pretty cool.

 

So in another instance of a-cl causing me to spend money.... after hearing everyone talking about halo 2 I went and bought an xbox and the game. I've been playing multi-player campaign for the past couple hours.

Not bad. Its definitely a better system than ps2, and looking forward to trying out the online stuff tomorrow.

In the past week or so I got NBA Live 2005 and GTA San Andreas for ps2, and now XBox with Halo 2, NCAA Football 2005 and Topspin tennis...

congrats rootbeer. topspin tennis is awesome. i only own two games for xbox right now, and thats the other one.

 

thanks sarlacc...good to hear about the tennis. that and football came free with the xbox for 150...not a bad deal.

halo 2 is fun.... but basically you just walk around and shoot everything that moves. seems like the whole object of the game is to get bigger guns so you can blast stuff quicker...

I think I'm more of a fan of the socom/syphon filter/rainbow 6 type games that involve a little more stealth and strategy.

I might pick up fable though that sounds kinda cool.

 

i havent played fable yet but i hear its a great game but way too short, i was about to buy it when the guy at EB games told me that it was short...so i just preorded halo 2 instead....now underground is commin out next week..there goes another $50 down the tube!

The visuals in this game are just incredible...from the detailed maps to the sounds, its jsut an awsome experience....makes me wanna switch my major from graphic design to Software engineer!
