The ION set will be 300 but will plug into some amp or pro drum machine thing top use as real electronic drums outside of the game.

The GH guitars are more satisfying to use if that makes sense. I also happen to be more accurate with the fret buttons on the GH guitar though it could just be that I'm used to it. I mainly strum down, even for fast parts. Only strum up-down on the super-fast parts when I can't keep up otherwise.
Its kinda fun to use the smaller frets at the base of the neck on the RB guitar but its hard to keep up with faster sections... that or i'm not quite used to it

That said. I end up using the wireless gibson, even on RB.

ION is a third party company, it is neither a part of EA nor harmonix.
The Wii version of both GH III and Rock Band both do not have downloadable content.
Activision has been claiming the Wii version will get DLC, but that hasn't happened yet.
Rock Band flat out said no DLC for the Wii. No Hard disk space, and I think they can't
'secure' songs put on SD cards, so no go.

I just saw they have Rock Band "Track Packs" for the Wii at Gamestop.
The regular Wii RB disc (which you get with the set) is $60 and has all the regular Songlist plus Bonus list, and I think a few "DLC" tracks thrown in.
The Track Pack disc had 20 DLC songs for $30 and you don't need RB to play them.
I would think it woud be kinda irritating to keep changing discs if you want to select songs though.
FYI, RB DLC seems to average 20-40MB per song on the PS3.
