what are they for. a friend let me keep the game for about a week and i cant seem to fig out what they are for

 

They are for bragging rights only. Usually, the more A-spec points = a tougher race to win.

Think about how many times you raped other cars for easy money with your 900hp Skyline against 100hp Lupos. Before, I would race my Z06 in the Vette race with a NA Stage 3 kit for 600hp and just blow them away. But then I noticed I'd get more A-Spec points if I ran with just a modded exhaust so I was up for the challenge. THe game seems to get more boring when you're killing the computer vs. a competitive and satisfying victory.

 

This feature does add some replay value. I had won few 200 pts. races and those were some very close races too.

 

its a waste of game to me. that and the b-speck crap. if they eliminated that crap from the game they probably could have spent more time on the online stuff they pulled out of the game

 

i find the b-spec mode usefull i just dont have the time to sit in front of a PS2 for 24 hours just to do a race

 

B-spec is so you can do a 24hr race without sitting there. I have a life.
