I did it when I first got GT4, I set it up so that I have two cards in my PC and put a crossover cable to connect to the PS2. I played online maybe two times and then gave up.

It was such a pain in the ass and had to keep restarting my PS2 because someone online would mess up the sequence of what you have to do. IMO it's not worth the trouble.

^^^ that's what I would have expected the experience to be like.... and why I was in no hurry to try it out.. I know xlink is not a Sony-supplied method, but I have to say Sony better get the online component right for PS3... I used to play GT3 with iLink (up to 6p) and it proved to be a PITA more than a few times just because everyone had to be at a certain screen at the same time - getting that synchronized and such.. I really hope Sony gets it right for PS3. But I think some amount of waiting and/or restarting and/or dropped connections and/or headache is inevitable with online play, I know this happens with Xbox and 360. Didn't happen often with the 360, but it did happen a few times and I didn't even play it for that long.
