As far as domestics go, the Z06 was very nice. With a Stage 3 NA it had a very nice torque curve and just went at any speed. The Vette races are too easy since they use a C2, C3, and C4 that are no match. I used a Vette with like exhaust and chip since it was getting boring. I wish they had more one make races with the domestics instead of some of the Euro cars.

The SRT-10 was a hell of a lot better than the TVR ( ). Brakes weren't the greatest, and there was actually understeer b/c I would hit the brakes too late in the corners. Took some getting used to. The races were actually very close due to the quality of cars in there.
I haven't gotten to try the Bentley yet. I am going to do the Sarthe I 24h race (Audi R8) first so I don't have to do enduros anymore!
One thing I did notice though - I can't beat the German Touring Championship anymore with my CLK Touring car! Like, it's not even close. I don't know what happened, but the quality level of the cars in there after I beat it is ridiculous.
I'm 530 days into the game with only 6,000,000 credits, so I need to win the CLK-GTR and sell it a few times...

Some of the single make Euro races are stupid. I'd rather have a few good Dodge/Ford races instead.

Surprising that the F575 is slower than the 550... I would think driver factors are coming into play there... but not sure.

LM-GT1. The Aston Martins were here to prove a point and straight away they began putting in fast times, never losing their 1st and 2nd position in class throughout the session. The two DBR9 cars swapped positions from the first session, with the No.58 Kox/Lame/Enge car finishing ahead of the No.59 Brabham/Turner/Sarrazin car. The No.63 (Fellows/O’Connell/Papis) and No.64 (Gavin/Beretta/Magnussen) Corvette C6-Rs appeared to be working to a totally different agenda, concentrating on a race set-up.
Possibly, the surprise of the day in the GT1 class was the No.61 Cirtek Ferrari 550 Maranello of Bouchut/Fomenko/Vasiliev. They were only 3 secs off the pace of the Aston Martins. The two Astons did 78 and 77 laps respectively until 17:40 hrs, when it started raining. The Ferrari covered 53 laps and the faster of the two Corvettes, No. 64, driven by Beretta, Gavin, and Magnussen, 85.

Even though I don't own the game, I gotta think you'd do way better than 5 minutes with the C5R in GT4. FWIW, I just grabbed the current Le Mans layout for GTR and took the C5R out for one flying lap. Ended up with a 4:04.9. Considering I don't remeber the intimate details of the track too well any more and that I was using a quick hatchet job of a Monza setup, I think I could be approaching the "realm of the realistic." It is possible in gameland gang.

Use a GT1 class car if you want to compare to those times - the C5R being about your only choice. If you want to look up some times of the new Courage and compare it to the Pescarolo or the R8 or Bentley or Sauber that'd be cool too. I've been meaning to do this soon.
Don't forget to use the Sarthe track that has the chicanes!
