So my xbox finally got the god damn e74 error just in time for it to be out of warranty. So instead of spending the $100 to get it fixed, I was just wondering if anybody has successfully fixed it themselves. Theres a million fix it guides out there but I really dont know who to trust. Any help would be appreciated.

 

You should call MS and see if you can convince them to fix it for free.
