Gaming on Laptop question

Hi all,

quick question, my wife just bought me a laptop to travel with while working. So, while I'm on the road I would like to at least play some video games or something and am interested in this game Company of Heroes

How do I find out if I can play it on my laptop?

BTW it's a Dell Inspiron E1405 with
Centrino Duo
1054 Ram
120 G hard drive

I don't know how to find out what the video/gaming card is or whatever I need to play the above game.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

it doesnt have a video card meant for gaming... i think another name for that laptop is the 640m. the video card is on board. If it is the same 640m, i have the exact laptop and its definately not good for gaming imo. it will prob run.. but very slowly in low res. good luck

you can play alot of older games on it probably (starcraft, Diablo II, Warcraft 3 come to mind) but alot of the newer heavy graphic games will probably run alot slower (unless you somehow managed to get a video card on there.)

TodaSi,

This is pretty interesting... Product is not out yet, but Asus is planning on making an external video card! It plugs into an ExpressCard slot (new version of PCMCIA or Cardbus).

Here is a link with more info:
