The Halo universe is surprisingly deep and detailed. It is also one of my favorites, up there with Mass Effect and Star Wars.
Just stumbled upon this and it gave me a lot of nostalgia. I need to catch up on the Halo books.

and actually, after reading some *surprisingly* insightful Youtube comments, a lot of people are mad about Halo 4's story. Though not as bad as Mass Effect 3, apparently. I never played Halo beyond 3, but was going to borrow ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 from a coworker just to see how the story goes.
Without spoilers of course... is it really that bad?

I only found out recently that the PS4 installs the entire game onto the hard drive, when you put a new disc in. I had previously thought it only copies certain portions of it to speed up game loading, but that the main content stays on the disc. So like for Ghosts, the install size on the hard drive is 32GB. This means you can only play maybe 10-12 full titles on a PS4, with its 500GB drive. I just think that is pretty dumb. Also I'm mad because if I knew about this, I would have bought NFS Rivals on a digital download so I don't have to bother with the disc. (And then I could have just left Ghosts in the PS4 since that's what I play mostly).
Am I comprehending this right?

worn out, to say the least!
I've had this controller for about 6 years now. The padding long since fell off the joy sticks, but it wasn't till a few days ago that I realized why the joy sticks were cause me to walk into walls and randomly look at the ground.
Both of them look like this..... That is not a round hole my friends, it's elliptical now. Plastic rubbing on plastic, wow! 6yrs or roughly 100,000 kills.

Man, they don't make controllers like they used to
I still have Playstation (1) and N64 controllers that are in good shape. In fact my SNES and NES controllers are in even better shape, but they don't count since they don't have analog sticks.

Got an email from Newegg on Saturday night. Free Destiny with purchase of regular XB1. Deal ends at 11:59 Sunday night.
After I found out that Target wouldn't include Destiny in this week's promo, and the Madden Edition sold out on both Newegg and Amazon, I took the deal. Thanks, PayPal!
My 18 y/o will be excited! I spoiled him with this video game thing since he was 10.

Note to everyone: Do not buy from Gamebreakerz (yeah, with a Z). I decided to do the half-noble thing and buy a game from a small business. Big mistake. About a week after I ordered it, the game still hadn't shipped. So I called them and they strung me along for about another week, telling me "Once we get it from our distribution center, we'll ship it to you. Should be here next Monday." So by the end of the day on Tuesday, it still hadn't shipped. Called them again and they said "We cannot get this item in stock, so we'll refund your money."
So not only did they waste about 2 weeks of my time, but they waited until I questioned them about my order before they stepped up and gave me my refund
If I bought from Gamestop I'd have the game right now. So what, is this karma or something?

But on the bright side, it seems to have dropped in price by $10 while this all happened, so I guess it's good.

Agreed. I only buy though slickdeals' unofficially approved vendors. I did order a used PS3 Dualshock for $14 shipped and promptly got it a week later from an Amazon fulfilled seller. Seems to work alright.
And the ironic thing is that I got the game from Amazon 2 days after I ordered it... I don't have Prime and it was free shipping
btw the game was Tales of Xillia 2. I still have to finish the first one on my 2nd playthrough before I can play the sequel

Same here. I thought it was kind of odd and counter-intuitive that they separate the two stories yet in each story you do get to see things that the character you chose shouldn't have been able to see. Like in Milla's story you see scenes that Milla wouldn't have been able to see, and likewise with Jude.

I'm on the fence between ignoring it and replying with something like "No, I bought it from a more professional business for a cheaper price (Amazon!)"

at the comments.
