Future of Portables/Handhelds

Any body have any speculation of what the future may hold as far as the portable gaming industry goes? I couldn't find a single thing as far as the next gen nintendo or sony system might be. I know they aren't dinosaurs by any means, but usually speculation isn't far behind a 'prequels' launch. I did a search on google to find something...anything, but was pretty fruitless in my efforts; that is, except for this hideous idea that Microsoft supposedly plans on launching....

...and just now when I was searching for that picture, I found a couple of other designs that pleased the eye a little more. One resembling an actual control, while the other has a flip top vaguely similar to the Nintendo DS. I personally like the one that looks like a controller, but the second is probably closer resembling what Microsoft would build (IMO) if in fact they do enter portable gaming.....

I may be WAYYY behind the loop on this cause I don't keep up with portable gaming very much AT ALL, but I was just curious to see what everybodys input was on both the idea of Microsoft, as well as Sony and Nintendo and what you would like to see from the next generations (or first) for these three companies.
