Forza 2 = dead
So, I finally got Forza 2 today after having it reserved and paid for since about January. Needless to say, I was pretty damn excited.
I throw it in 360, turn it on. It's going through the intro and I just wasn't feeling the angle so, naturally, I get up to adjust the T.V. I moved it over just ever so slightly and my PS2 must've disagreed with that so it fell over, hitting my 360, which also fell over, crashing to the ground. 360 still works, but Forza...
I never got to play Forza 2...I have 2 circles around the CD now. They're pretty solid but it's not gouged out. My buddy said I should try one of those CD repair kits. I'm going to do it since I have nothing to lose but I was just looking for some encouragement from you guys.
Also, could I bring it back? The warranty does say it doesn't cover incidental damages and I'm assuming this would fall under that, but do you guys think it's worth a shot?

Toothpaste might work?

If you have your 30 standing up it will cause it to make those rings over time as well. I know this from experience of my own games. 360 is meant to be lying down.
just food for thought

Morale of the story is...PS2 FTW!
I will tell you guys what i tell my brother all the time. Stop standing the damn game system up. It was cool when the PS2 first came out, but does more harm than good. With all the systems falling, disc scratching and other weird happenings when systems are upright,. you would think people would have learned by now.
Just go back and get it replaced, and lay your 360 down. If you get the same issue again, call MS and tell them to replace it. Some 360s built in December 2006 had an issue where a component that keeps the spinning disc away from it's surroundings fails.
my xbox has been standing since nov 06 and i don't have any scatches. but i have heard that particular dvd-roms do scratch it. i had the samsung drive up until recently. now i have a hitachi 59, so i'll see how that turns out.
