Eh...they are still around. They did release a Samurai Shodown version for the Xbox last year.

My boy has the Neo Geo with the expensive ass controllers and Samurai 1-3. 2 def the best.

I have the DC and Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2. What's the best quality connection for the DC on my TV? I go a 65" that might like those colors.

I liked Hanzo, Haohmaru, Wan Fu in part 1 when he had the scimitar, and Tam Tam since he was so cheap with his range.

 

I've only played the arcade and the various home machines for SF2 ... stopped at SNES SF2 turbo since I got sick of the various reincarnations (Marvel VS Capcom, etc)

So ... I only have a top 2:

1) SNES - Street Fighter 2 Turbo (for the characters / game play ... SF2 had more cartoon-y graphics, which I liked)
2) arcade - Street Figher 2

FWIW, Ryu > Ken (since the combos with Ken became ridiculous in the various reincarnations)

 

They made Ryu stronger and with a much better fireball but his Shoryuken had no range. Thing was strong though.

 

AKAIK, the best connection is via S-Video. I'm sure you could find one on ebay. My Capcom vs SNK 2 stopped reading on my Dreamcast. It was a burned copy, so it wasn't intirely a shock. I decided to buy a copy of the PS2 release since I had read that the resolution was better on that particular version. Plus I have a big screen (55in) like you.

I'd love to own an original Neo Geo console system. You definitely have to have some cash if you want to collect the games.
