Did anyone go out and get it? If so how is it?

ign gives it good ratings....says multiplayer is better then PC...at least with co-op

The only reasons to get it on XBox:

- Levels are brightened up a bit
- Awesome 5.1 surround sound
- Co-op mode

Other than that, it's the same game. And no DuctTape mod either!

 

i havent played it on computer ebcause my computer cant handle it

 

i was barely able to play it on my computer (averaged at best 15-20fps), i thought the computer version had 5.1 as well? at least i remember hearing it like that on my system (z-680)

i probably wouldve enjoyed this game more if it ran better on my computer

 

yea you need a pretty powerful computer to play it with its full potential

 

It does have 5.1. But most people don't have a 5.1 sound card or speakers. XBox users on the other hand, are more likely to have it hooked into the AV system.

 

Well, do what the XBox does.

Turn it on HIGH settings, and the resolution down to 640x480. I bet it will play better. Remember that the XBox is a PIII-700, and a nVidia GeForce 2+

just bought the game, graphics are amazing, the games pretty scary too, and definatley tough, i have yet to play it on live tho

 

Have fun finishing it...It definitely gave me a few jumps...one of the scariest games I've played in a long time. Definitely go at it with the sound up and the lights out.

Yep...And to each of my friends who snickered at me saying that a mere video game scaring the bajeezus outta me, I had them play for 15 minutes (in any stage after hell is released into the spacestation) and they were twitching too...

 

I can't deal with shit jumping out of the stairs I'm walking on in complete darkness.......

 

The maniacal laughter from nowhere always was a nice way to get me to jump...Gawd, I can't wait to fire a few shotgun shells into Betruger's face in the sequel.

 

yea i beat it, great game, very tough, not to mention your playing in fear the whole time, wait til the latter levels, the hell knights will beat the crap out of you, ive always been a doom fan, let me tell you guys one thing tho, there isnt enough ammo in the whole game to take out all the monster, the sprint button is your friend

 

I got it last night after returning my psp......just started playing it....its getting freakier...

 

The Hellknights at least don't make me scream like a little girl...I'd rather put up with them since they usually barrow into a room and you can hear them. I can't stand the sneak-from-behind enemies or the ones that can just pop up from nowhere...

I remember one of the worst stages for me was the portions of the labs where the lights were ALL out except for the one scientist with a lamp leading the way. I hated that. And my fave scare part was when the chainsaw zombies first made their introduction in that storage room...Man...

 

hellknights are just big and when i first had to find them i was running for like 5 mins, i didnt know what to do, lol, scary fuckers, chainsaw is one of the best weapons in the game btw
