Do you still enjoy your PSP....

...the same way when you got it the first day? I thought it would be great to have a device that would allow Wi-Fi wireless Internet but the browser has problems. I thought it would be great to watch UMD movies on a very nice large display but still no UMD rentals. And I thought it would be great to convert and copy shows and movies to my memory stick to watch but that's time consuming and doesn't always work so well.

Besides the games, what else is so great and unique about PSP? Just asking.

I do... mostly because I take mine to the gym with me and watch movies when I do cardio.

Gamefly has UMD rentals, 2 out at a time of any video games/UMD's for $21/month.

oh my... I enjoy it 100x more than the day I got it. after I got it, I swear I didn't do anything with it for 4 months. Then I found the game Lumines. I got addicted to it. Now I take it with me to the gym and play Lumines while doing cardio... I swear 30 minutes goes by like 10. I can do 45 min of straight cardio, no issues. I play a solid game of Lumines, look up about 3/4 into it, 30 mins have gone by. No boredom. It is like what I was waiting for... the worst thing about doing cardio is it is so gawdamn boring. Lumines is about as complicated a game can get though while doing cardio, imo... a movie would also work but I would get bored with it I think... I love my PSP. I also use it on the train, at work, etc. Basically anytime I'm bored to hell and I don't have any control over it and I need to pass time. Wi-fi, internet? I don't even use that atm. I usually have my laptop with me so if I'm near a wi-fi, I just use that.

Love my PSP...Wish they had more games that fit a handheld console (well, IMO) like shooters...

Lumines is still my sole game. But, it's a great one.

I still play it alot. Hasn't been alot of games so far, but there are alot coming out in the next few weeks that I cant wait to get. I won't buy the movies though, seems like a waste. If they were like 10 bucks, maybe, but $20 +, nah.

I only own 2 games, MLB and Tiger Woods... and I think I've played Tiger Woods once. MLB is awesome. I'm 75-45 in my season...thats a lot of PSP.

I'm only really interested in the sports games, virtua tennis looks fun.

they rent them here...

Plus why would you rent a UMD game? You gonna rent it then sit at home and watch it?

I'd love to watch TV episodes or movies while doing cardio.

anyone know if it's hard to convert divx avi files to a format the psp can display?

i rarely touch mine yet again, i got some sparked interest in it when i bought hot shots golf.. but it just doesnt seem like a good idea right now, cause i dont really got any down time, unless i take it with me to campus, and play some games in between my classes, and look like a in front of the chicks

For watching movies and stuff at the gym, yes the PSP has a bigger screen...but it is also a bigger unit.

I would think this is where the perfect use of the Video Ipod comes in.

Watch your movie while doing cardio....then small and light enough to clip to your shorts and continue your workout to music.

its a pain in the ass going to my locker between cardio and lifting to grab/stash the psp.

Plus ipod you can just dl the content right to the player, vs. carrying around UMD's everywhere. I'll probably get a lot less use from my psp once I pick up a new Ipod.

hahah... i know the feeling.. i rather play Lumines - watching movies isn't interactive so the time doesn't go by as fast..

we'll see how long this lasts though, lol...

This looks pretty sweet...

October 18, 2005 - Sony has announced that its latest digital video recorder, the Sugo Roku RDR-AX75, will be compatible with System 2.50 ready PSPs. The recorder will be equipped with an "Odekake Sugo Roku" option which will allow users to transfer video footage from the recorder to the PSP's Memory Stick via USB.

Like others have stated I definately take my PSP to the gym with me. Its not as convient as an IPOD (armband) but I can keep it in my sweats where its safe for the most part. The PSP9 program has a new version out that definately fixes old problems and converts videos it used to not be able to.

I'd rather bring UMD's since I get em free from gamefly. Less hassle than ripping and shrinking and all that, plus better quality.
