i bought diablo 2 for $20 a few days ago and been playing with my friends.. then they upgraded it to lord of destruction!!

Msn, I ove the Diablo series....why hasnt there been a three yet?

 

Diablo III would have been better than World of Warcraft.. but WoW has broader appeal unfortunately.

 

The video chicks on WoW are better material than D2.

I used to love playing D2.

 

I used to play D2: LOD, untill last summer I got banned. When the new v1.11 patch came out, there was no maphack, so many people downloaded this maphack and so did I. I paid the price and lost all my characters and gear (if I ebayed the gear, I would of gotten about $30 worth). But if a D3 came out I would definetely buy it.

 

LoD rocked why not pay the extra 20$ for it? Plus assassins rock.

 

My old coworkers and I were obsessed with D2...thank God, I got help and I'm a recovering D2 addict. No guarantees though if a D3 comes out...

I actually reinstalled D2 last night. After a month of nothing, all my characters are still there. YAY.

Just went on Blizzard's website...no mention of D3 that I could find...anyone else?

 

They have yet to annouce it. It probably wont come about until E3. They said at blizzcon that they were working on a project that was secret, or something to that matter. Rumor has it that D3 was the secret project.
Blizzard had job openings for some jobs that were related to d1 & d2.

Plus ign and gamespy both have diablo 3 on their release dates. With a release date of TBA 2006. They had to get that info from somewhere.

Well the working in diablo 3 would make sense since a lot of servers for WoW are exepericing extreme lag.

Bliz Bans CD Keys - Flux [20:18:PST]

Blizzard continues to crack down on D2 cheaters on Battle.net, and just posted about their latest purge:

We have just closed more than 36,000 accounts for cheating on Battle.net. More than 28,000 CD keys tied to these accounts have been disabled from Realm play on Battle.net for one month, and more than 3,000 CD keys have been permanently disabled from Realm play due to repeat offenses.

Also, over the last couple of days we've heard from lots of players who've had their accounts stolen thanks to a key logger in a new version of map hack. You know, not-cheating is always an option on battle.net, right?

Oh by that way this was about in August of last year. And I played on USEast Ladder. I had a Non-Ladder account with good items also but that got banned as well.

 

Used to play that game religiously in 7th grade, a lot of people did. Brings back a lot of good memories, although at the end when you get tired of it you'll be like "i can't believe i wasted so much time on it." Most of my friends felt the same way.

 

Lol no shit they are banning people who cheat. Hasnt anyone played diablo 1 that game was so easy to hack.

 

i am a D2 addict and i still play regularly. u should have just bought the battlechest, it comes with LOD and everything else. my friends and I have been running ubers lately its still hella fun.

D2 was an awesome game, easy to get into and to be addicted to. If D3 comes out I will def have to pick it up.

 

Anyone can get to lvl 70 in a day or so. Try getting to 96 like my Zon.......takes a little more time.

 

unless you are seriously dueling, anything over 88 or so is overkill and not worth the time IMO

 

I played for quite a while a couple years back. I still like the game, but now I'm a WoW addict. I would buy D3 when it comes out. My best friend's dad has an uber computer built JUST for Diablo II. He plays EVERY DAY when he gets home from work. He's been doing this since the game came out. And before that he did it with Diablo. He bought a $120 mouse JUST to play the game.

 

what features does a $120 mouse have? movement via telekinesis? 5 customizable buttons?

 

It's some allegedly super-accurate laser mouse with tons of buttons on it. I think it's not worth it for such a marginal performance improvement. By the way subtract 20% since I'm ian
