with xbox 360, ps3, and wii dropping in prices, is anyone here thinking of getting another console? or those that don't have one already, are you thinking of getting one?

just curious because i was at best buy and target the other day, and i saw lots of folks in lines holding ps3/xbox/wii boxes. some had ps3/xbox and wii boses.

I don't play my PS3 enough to justify getting another system

 

Throwing around getting the PS3, but I like the Wii.

 

Given current prices, if you're in the market, there's really no excuse not to buy whatever system you want. There won't be another significant price drop until the next gen machines are on the horizon, and at $300 or less, the current machines are a great deal. If you're strapped for cash, the used market for all of them, especially the PS3, just tanked...should be some killer deals out there now.

Personally, I'm content with my PS3.

 

cant complain at all with the PS3, there's no reason at all that would make me get a xbox

 

I have always owned almost every main console, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. I've had every 360/PS3 predecessor and used to have a Super Nintendo. But I only have 360 now because now I have to pay for everything. My point is, I have no bias. I got the 360 for the Live, and all my friends have one. I want a PS3 though, a drop in price plus its slimmer? Hell yeah... they have some really good PS3-exclusive games. I also really want it for the BR player, but at the moment I don't have an HD TV so its pointless.

 

i have a ps3 now....maybe pick up a wii once my parents house is finished because then there will be a whole entertainment area. where something like that can work on a big tv without using the only big tv.

 

I don't have a console and still don't plan on getting one. I grew up in the formative years of PC gaming so my gaming affection/additction will always be there. Additionally, most console games seem to be based around a career mode where you have to complete something before the next portion of the game is available to you. That type of gaming is something I've always despised.

 

I've had both 360 and PS3 for awhile now, I hardly ever touch the PS3. If u get a bigger tv maybe the Wii

 

ps3 for $299 is verrrrrry tempting. maybe once GT5 comes out i will bite.

 

I have a 360 now, which I am perfectly content with. But, I'm thinking about picking up a wii "for my son".

Same. I only own 4 games for my PS3 (5 if you count Mega Man 9), and I haven't seen any 360-exclusives I wanna check out.
