i rented Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow over the weekend.... the graphics, weapons, everything are fucking INCREDIBLE.

the gameplay however is a little too involved and boring for me. and a they overuse cut scenes a bit too much... like certain character actions are automated... rather then player controlled.


if SOCOM had the graphic style and weapons of splinter cell it would be the ultimate game.


Man... even if it had the same night vision, thermal vision, and sniper scope... it would be much improved.

 

btw not knocking socom in anyway. socom is still the most entertaining gameplay of any FPS.

just wish they would up the graphic power.


the first map of pandora tomorrow reminds me of sujo...

 

The buzz is that killzone is better the HALO.

 

could be. but it seems a little unreal/quakeish... and while their great... i just cant see myself investing much time into them on the console.

it takes something special to make a game worthwhile on a console...

HALO was one of the FEW FPS's of that style to be GREAT on a console. I thought it was great on PC as well.

Quake/Unreal... while being some of the best PC games evar... which i invested countless amounts of time in.... were a damn failure on consoles.

 

One thing it does have going for it though is that it was designed for the PS2 from the beginning, but yea, I will have to see it to make a final judgment.

Battlefield: Modern Combat will definitely be a game for ACL to play.

Killzone looks cool... a little too deathmatchish for me tho. and based on that doods poor ass aim the controls probably suck. hahah. I just dont enjoy the whole quake/unreal type deal as much anymore.


Battlefield looks kinda cheezed up compared to PC version. But Ill sitll play it... I'm a sucker for game with helicopters
