Sup guys, I rented GT4 for a couple days to see how it is, and in Gran turismo mode, i just bought my first car, a Civic Type-R and was wondering how I change the transmission to manual? It's auto right now.

 

read the instruction book, it's in the settings

 

I dont have an instruction book, i rented the game for a week, but thanks. But in settings the transmission thing is still blacked out? Do I need to buy an upgraded transmission or somethign to unlock manual?

 

I totally forgot how to do it since I only play MT - but since you sound kinda desparate I will fire up GT4 and check...... brb

ok..... pick your car, pick your track... let it load, and from the track intro screen where you choose A-spec or B-spec, etc, go into options. click RACE. that's where you set MT or AT in GT mode...

yea, i definately need to buy this game! btw i figured out the showroom thingy lol, i thoguht itd be labeled Used Car Showroom I, but it was just the historic showroom rofl.

 

sorry to hijack the thread, but on a sort of unrelated matter of GT4...

man, I have been playing GT4, I am not sure if the fact that I have been playing too much PC/XBOX, the PS2 controller is not quite used to me.... The PS2 thumb joystick feels so sensitive. I can't seem to pass the Driver License B with the M3 CSR doing the curve, I think it was test number 8 or something...

damn, everytime, i was fraction of seconds behind the cutoff of number 3 rank...

damn, gotta keep on trying...

 

What are you doing wrong exactly?
