They better fuckin make enough. They better learn from 360 and PS2 launches. If they get one thing right this time, it better be the launch. Especially with all the 360 fuck ups.

What if they dont make enough on purpose. Im sure they know that there are gonna be things wrong with systems at launch. If they only release a few of them, that is less that they would have to fix. Its almost like a beta test. Send out limited numbers and see what breaks.

It makes a lot of sence...Why would they launch enough and then have to replace or fix twice that amount.

 

they purposely don't make enough so the demand goes through the fucking roof. and also so they dont have to deal with millions of units being stored.

i am also gonna try to preorder as many as i can, funds permitting

 

damn i wish i had more money since jan of 2005, i wouldve bought a ton of PSPs, and a ton of XBOX 360s, and when the time comes a ton of PS3s

 

I'm almost sure, just like the 360, that the pre-order will be limited to probably one per person, so get those friends ready to pre-order for you. That's what I plan to do also. Buy at least 3 extra and put on ebay right after they sell-out in stores.

 

well I don't mind having to go to a few stores if I have to. or I could just get friends, pay em like $20 to come with me. Anyone know the return policy on them? Because lets say for some strange reason the demand isnt there, and people arent spending tons of money on ebay, will the store take them back if unopened?

 

Even if Sony meets demads, anyone that lives in a big city area will have a hard time finding it.

 

So i will get my mother to reserve one, my dad, my bro and me. And different game stops and EB games too. I wouldnt even get greedy. I would put all of them on ebay, and give them their item #. whatever their's sell for its their profit.

 

As far as I'm concerned, they can take their time. I'm broke!

 

Dont forget the extra $2000 to $5000 for the new 1080p HDTV to go along with the $300 PS3 :P

 

even if u did buy extra ps3s and they didn't sell as well as the 360s did right after launch, they would still sell for what you paid for, its pretty much a win win situation, you could make a shitload of money or just break even

 

thats why if you sell them on ebay, no matter what you reserve the price at least $100 more that what you paid. They will sell for alot just like the 360's did.

 

No preorders will not be taken until the timeframe for the release is confirmed. But youll probally get screwed over pre ordering since the demand for ps3s for preorders usually is more then the supply.

 

well hopefully I can preorder them ASAP so I have no problems getting them at launch. I don't think it will be a problem. thing is, since I am at college with no car and only transportation to 1 gamestop, not sure how well I can make out. maybe i can get my mom to preorder me a few back home

 

I have never experienced a pre-order or anything of the sort, and I don't camp out for hours to get something. I usually wait a month or two to get something if it's in high demand but I actually want to get the PS3 right away. What happens when you pre-order? Do you have to put a deposite down and when launch date comes, can you just walk into the store and just pay the rest of the amount and walk away with a the product or do you still have to wait in line for hours?

 

yes, but you might have to wait in line atleast with the other people who have preordered if its crowded.

On Ebay, yes. Sony will not release it at that price range, no one will buy it, at least I wont. It should be priced at or below the 360's price to keep it competitive.
