Euro Forces is just like Armored Fury... both are just expansion packs to the original game.

Special Forces is a seperate executable.

I can see all the servers running Armored Fury and I can see the graphic of the map on the server. But when I try to join it says I need to install it.

I'd have to see your computer to figure it out. I'm sure its something silly...

The downfall of PC gaming, it's not always plug n play.

I really don't understand it. It should be so simple since you have to use that EA download/install utility.

Yes they will it but seems these drivers are designed for BF2 only, with other games been OK at best..... I've uninstalled them and installed the lastest ATI drivers released last week, and there just as good if not better.. I have a 800XT

I have not tried omega drivers in while, so I really can't comment how well they work with BF2. From what i've read in the ATI fourms there current drives seem to work well...which I can confirm with BF2 and other games.

I just got bf2 and it runs sooooooo poorly on my computer. takes forever for the maps to load and crashes half the time. the tweaks driver helped with performance a little but nothing huge. Its wierd cause Ican run hl2 at all high settings and at super high res but bf2 is struggling to run at all. I got the newest patch. Is it suppose to take 3 mins for a map to load? then like another 2 mins for authorizing client data or something? Im running a 2.5 with 512 ram I think and a 9800xt

^^ go there and look for Battlefield 2, and you will see why your computer is running poorly.

512MB is definitely not enough to run BF2, even with a 2.5Ghz processor and your 9800xt card.

Right now i'm only running a cheap ATI x300 128MB card while I'm waiting for e-VGA to send me back my 7800GT but with a 2.8Ghz processor and 2 gigs of DDR2 I can run BF2 smoothly with a custom video setting balance between low/medium but at a low 800x600 resolution.

My brother is also running a cheap ATI x600 256MB card but he has a 3.4Ghz dual core processor and 3 gigs of DDR2 and he can run BF2 on a balance of medium/high

I think you'll need around 2 gigs of RAM to run this game.

damn it. now im going to have to waste money on more ram. I should just save and buy a new comp. there goes 50 bucks down the drain for this game.

I wouldn't call buying more RAM a "waste." 512MB isn't really much to play with anymore. I think you need that much just to support most everyday functions.

looked online and it looks like a gig of ram for a dell 8200 was around 400 bucks. What a rip. And this game needs atleast 2? Fawk.

That's because it's RDRAM not DDR.

You can buy a PC that will run battlefield for $500.

Expecting a 5 year old computer to play today's high end games at the highest settings is nuts.

haha yeah im an optimist and was hopeing it would be playable atleast on medium settings. Once things get loaded Im able to get playable settings for med/low mix and the res right above 800/600. Stupid hl2 at high had me dreaming of impossible feats.

Run everything on low with the exception of textures. Bump that up to medium or high. You should be good with that.

Considering I've been playing for 2 months I'd say it's about time. The only thing I really dislike about this game is it is so hard to locate people you want to play with. I hate having to use Xfire because I dont' know how to access it in the middle of a game.

Only difference I notice between Med and High settings is that they take longer to load. Frame rates between the 2 settings don't seem to me a issue for me.

Good to know.

I'd like to be able to increase my resolution though... this crappy x300 card has me stuck at 800x600

I run at low detail simply because I want performance, not eyecandy whether my card can handle it or not.

Hey has anyone played this on both PC and 360? I've been playing on 360 a lot lately... is the game better on PC? Any major differences?

i've played on both, there are HUGE differences,

BF2 for the PC is realistic, BF for 360 is not (its a lot easier to hit right on target on 360, n the PC you have to basically measure for wind )

Attack helis on pc have 8 missles and 1 cam missle, on 360 attack helis have 160+ missles and NO RELOAD TIME

after playing on the PC and then playin MC you kill everything in sight
