this one dude spent the entire game yesterday trying to hit people with falling vehicles. every time he did he'd bust out laughing
anyone notice that choppers appear weaker now? 3-4 hellfires and they go down.

Yea... wtf is wrong with the new patch... one or two missles takes down a heli. And the vehicle thing sucks ass... I was TK'd 3 times today for a commander dropping that shit on me. And why drop vehicles on rooftops is beyond me...

most servers are rebooted once a day.

Well, my finals are over and I'm gonna get back into playing games. I was mostly into CoD2 but my clan now has a ranked BF2 Server so I'm gonna play that more. The website is www.alliesinarms.net and the IP for the server is 65.38.191.197

well, after re-installing and patching with the full version 1.3, I still could not get my BF2 to work. I click on the icon, I get a black screen, then a black screen with a jumbo-size task bar and then I find myself back at my desktop where I started.
It did this at first, that's why I re-installed. Anybody got any advice?

Damn I'd love to play some BF2 with some of you guys. I'm getting kinda frustrated here. I tried a few tips that I read on tweak guides and stuff but nothing worked. I re-installed my video drivers and nothing changed. I'm thinking of re-installing BF2 for the 3rd time, maybe the 3rd time's the charm? Maybe it won't make a difference.

Okay just like with Euro Forces I can't get this booster pack to work. I purchased it and installed it just fine. Load BF2 and try to join a server running a new map and it says I must purchase and install the booster pack. Same thing happens with Euro Forces. I completely uninstalled everything. Re-installed the patches 1-by-1; made sure I installed Euro Forces before I patched v1.22. Installed v1.3 and then installed Armored Fury.
Can't load any servers running either of the two boost packs. What gives?

Armored Fury is pretty good. The maps are sick, just my style. Big and intricate.
The vehicles leave a little to be desired. The A-10 has the same stall speed of the F15, but no afterburner... so its impossible to fly slow and then recover... making it almost useless unless you're an ace with it.
The Kiowa and other scout helicopters are fun, but designed more for theatrics than performance.
They kinda "slide" through the air, making it really difficult to do anything fancy with them. But it does allow for fast maneuvars and cool looking flying.
All the foreign vehicles are simply identical to their american counterparts.
Nevertheless, for $10... the maps are a win.
Oh, and all the maps have a ton of vehicles, helis, and planes on them... so everybody gets a turn.

These drivers for ATI cards work really well in BF2. Tried them myself and will use them for now since there giving me a few extra FPS with better graphics settings.

The DICE team has been reviewing player feedback gathered from forums, email, and the ranker server providers in an effort to provide the best possible step forward from 1.3. While this work has been highly focused on bug fixing the team has also managed to put some work towards new content.
Some groups have noticed the testing of a new map “Road to Jalalabad” being run on our test servers. This map will be included in our next patch release and is not part of a new booster pack. Some of the items on the change list for this next step are:
Reversion: Allowing unlocks on unranked servers
Fix/Reversion: We fixed the issue preventing mod teams from running multiple game modes in one map list.
Tuning: We have lowered the number of players needed to start a ranked game.
Tuning: We have made some modifications to the vehicle drop feature introduced in 1.3. These changes should reduce the overall impact of ‘cartillery’ on game play.
Crash Fix: We have located and fixed a crash connected to 1.3.
These are only a small portion of the fixes being worked on for our next step. We would also like to announce that we will be holding an Open Beta in early July for this next patch. We will have public servers hosted, Beta files available on mirror sites, and specific threads for feedback during this Beta period hosted on the EA forums.

hey i just got my new video card installed and wanted to know where everyone plays. What servers are you guys mostly on? Any favorite ones? Ill just be getting the originally BF2 for now.

BTW: for all joo n00bs... ME and SOOPA have been KILLING IT, averaging at least a combined score of 100+ and normally at least like 60 heli kills between the two of us....

I still can't get Armored Fury or Euro Forces to work on my PC or my brothers... wtf?! 
I install it via the EA Downloader utility but when I load BF2 is says I don't have it installed.
