Any Recommended Controllers for Fighting Games...?

Kinda segwayed from the SFII HD thread...Anyhoo, anyone know of a good controller that's good for fighting games like SFII and etc.? I just find the Playstation controller very poor for it...

Best controller I know still for fighting games is the one that came with the SNES...but, obviously, we can't use that now can we?

So, any recommendations would be appreciated!

I have an x-arcade and its great for fighting games. Bought it back when I used to be heavy into the Tekken and SF III tournament play crap.

Speaking of Which.. I still need to DL that remake of SF2 Turbo...

Hmm...joy sticks are nice, but a bit too big for me (i.e. X-arcade)...So, I'm looking for a gamepad.

Anyone try these before?

You liked the SNES controller for SF2?

My thumbs used to get so raw from using that D-Pad...

Does the D-Pad not work on the PS3 controllers for SF2:HD?

The SNES worked better than the PS3's d-pad.

And it's not that it does not work, it's just not ideally made for a fighter.

I have the cheapo Precision. Works pretty good for me. I think I'm going to get the "Dual Action" next since I want to start playing games that need the analog stick.
