The charts are harder than I expected, though expert RB/GH players will probably roll right through them. But this game was for the mainstream anyway, including all the beatles fans that probably have never even played a music game before.

In case you didn't know the demos are set up in some Best Buys, Blockbusters, or Gamestops. I was going to check last night but lightning FTL.

If you don't plan on buying the full albums that are downloadable, Gamestop is giving 3 songs (not yet named) to download for free with pre-order.

 

They have announced the entire set list except for one song, and I was thinking it would be brilliant if it's some previously unreleased song. You can almost see fanatics buying the game just to hear it.

Ok just rented a copy from Blockbuster.

Played the demo. Can't Buy Me Love has a sort of tricky drum beat. Daytrippers was a little simpler except for the fast blue notes.

Beatles drums is a lot easier then Rock band 2 drums, looks like. I'm looking to get a microphone stand and do voxdrums. (Headset doesn't work!!!! sucks)

Enjoy. I got in a couple of hours and the presentation is fantastic. My wife was in heaven as she's a Beatles fan. All the added features from RB2 are awesome like score tracking, real time leaderboard tracking, unpause 3 second delay (thank God).

GH5 has been on sale as low as $45 I think. That plus free Van Halen is a good deal as the engine is vastly improved.

 

i got this version from blockbuster (on sale for $90). it's not the version with the hofner and the drumset that has the beatles logo on it.

what's the difference between the rock band 1 and 2 drums/guitar/mic?

been playing a lot of this last week when friends were over. it's a lot of fun. i've liked their music but don't know a whole lot about them and the band's history. so i'm not a really big beatles fan, i guess.

but the game is really fun to play. we've barely played the rock band 2 game.

will be downloading the rest of the DLC.

 

Rock Band 1 drums are wired while the RB2 are wireless. The RB2 are quieter too. Flip over your drums and tell me if you see a serial starting with EL, SL, or QM. EL has the worst sensitivity while the others are more sensitive. You can buy pads to quiet them down.

I think the mics are the same and I hear the guitar is better for RB2. However I never got those instruments as I have aftermarket and Beatles guitar.
