Anyone play the demo on XBL? Its a straight up God of War rip off, down to the colors of the different types of "souls" you absorb and the button-context moves. But it looks like it will be an awesome game. Definitely a must play for 360 owners who won't get to play GOW3. Graphics are sick, the story is already a great one, especially if you have read The Divine Comedy books, and the gameplay is fast and gory. Oh, and the demo contains lots and lots of if that matters to you

Yeah I was a bit shocked at the abundance of titties in the demo, too. I think the last time I played a game that showed them was Duke Nukem 3D

 

btw I still don't understand all the "It's a God of War ripoff!" how else are they supposed to make a action/adventure type of game like this? Do they need to make entirely new, innovative mechanics every time?

 

Meh, the game has been getting really lackluster reviews all around. I think I'll sit this one out.... It's a shame, since the demo was really cool. However most sites say the first few hours of the game are the best, then it just gets boring and yawn-inducing.

 

Well I've played it for about an hour so hopefully I don't start yawning soon. So far I'm pretty impressed.

I played the Demo, it thought that it was a lot of fun.

 

Demo was a ton of fun....so I put it on my "Get" list. Was about to get it then read and watched a bunch of reviews. Apparently the incredible worlds and enemies in the beginning of the game disappear about 1/3 the way in... and it just gets worse and worse, with the end of the game having small rooms and floating platforms as the only environments. I was also reading that they seemed to get lazy and re-used enemies... so for example, the prostitutes from lust were used in other, unrelated worlds.

Being that I don't play these games often to begin with I decided upon finding that info out to pass on this one. Instead I've been playing Uncharted 2 on PS3.

 

Yeah, this game would have been badass had EA put as much effort into it as they should have. I'll definitely look into buying the game once it drops in price.

 

The reviews are disappointing. It's like they started out and were running up on a deadline so they rushed to finish it. I've pretty much decided not to get this, even after a price drop. I'll probably be getting Bayonetta soon since I'm almost out of stuff to do in Uncharted 2.

 

Yeah Bayonetta is pretty awesome, imo Don't listen to what people say about the PS3 version.
