So I just signed into PSN and 6 of my buddies were playing MW2. I asked them where they got their copies and they said a store was selling them early in my area. I'm gonna check them out tomorrow and hopefully they sell me one. Multiplayer servers are already up because they were playing together.

I wouldn't mind learning the maps ahead of time... cuz we are all gonna be running around like blinds the first couple days

says "hello to my TLX".
I've kinda had the thought of seeing if any of my buddies are up to a good series of private Team Deathmatches so we can really get some of these maps down faster.
I think it's a better alternative to running around like crazy or getting shot trying to camp in public matches.

A few things I like in the MW2:
1. The migration of hosts mid-match. No more poor-sports quitting and ruining your game. If the hosts leaves in the middle of the match - the system automatically migrates to a new host to resume play.
2. Calling in "Air Support". You can set your kill streak settings to call in an "Air Support" for your team. A box will be deployed to a random spot on the map and will be filled with random contents ranging from upgraded weapons, upgraded health, air strikes, or even a nuke - which upon detonation - kills the entire other team and ends the match.
3. Final kill shot. At the end of the match there is a small replay the shows the final kill of the match.
4. Customization of weapons. You can add-on a "bling" perk which allows you to have two add-ons for your weapons. So you can have a silenced P90 with an ACOG scope. Additional add-ons for weapons is the heart-beat monitor, which gives you a heads up display of a 50-yard radius that can pick up the heart beat of team mates and enemies.

ZeroPSI.... I hate you.
To think I could be playing MW2 right now instead of looking for a job... sigh
edit: I'm neutral to you now that you told us about the features of MW2

Silencer + red dot =
So the heartbeat monitor is like a 24/7 UAV? Or does UAV Jammer disguise it too??? I'll be interested to see the weapons too.... IMO the current M16 is a little overpowered. I can only imagine it with RDS + silencer + UAV Jammer. wow
oh and is there a Glock in the game? lol

I am still getting use to using it.
It's a bit like a HUD for your gun.

Big Block go VROOOM!
We thought the lack of dedicated servers was bad, but now we can add the lack of console commands, the inability to have a say in who hosts the game, a lengthy pause while the game migrates to a new host if the currently selected host quits, no leaning, no option to record matches, and no way to kick or block trouble players, hackers, or cheaters.
You have to wonder if there are any actual PC gamers working at Infinity Ward, as it will be a challenge to find any member of the PC gaming community that will stand up for any of these omissions, not to mention all of them bundled together. At launch, this will be one of the most locked-down, inflexible, and gamer-unfriendly games ever created.

So let me get this straight. IW is taking and removing most everything that has made the PC FPS gaming community what is. Most of which has been part of PC FPS gaming for the better part of a decade. And they're taking those features away from the same community that MADE Infinity Ward into what is. Oh, and the game costs $10-$20 more than most other games. IW/Activision can fuck off. I'll be keeping my money, thank you.

Pretty lame that PC gets those features omitted though. Why, I have to imagine? Are they planning to make PC-console cross gaming possible? That would be kinda cool.... otherwise its lame.
This is pathetic.... I'm keeping tabs on this thread like a sick child I even check it on my phone
