i tried zombie mode coop, to level 5. you can open the doors? lol. it was some creepy fun! esp when they start to pile on you! stupid guns tho.

I bought the game and went straight to multiplayer so I dont know the story line. I'll play single when my internet disconnects or something. thanks for letting me know tho!
right now I have set all my graphic to low textures. runs a lot faster but it brings me back to Duke Nukem like graphics, lol.

run and gun is probably the best way to win eh. I mean, you have to have the mindset that every second that goes by where you are not killing, you're losing ground. That being said, I think its important to think about how much time you are spending doing certain things, such as using killstreaks. Looking for a spot to place a turret, driving the RC car around, even looking for a place to drop the care pkg marker and then waiting for it to arrive - all of those things are not adding your kill count, and the clock is ticking.

I don't win FFAs because of skill so much as because I go out and hunt people
down. You're absolutely right about killstreaks, sometimes I choose harrier pavelow (still don't have BO yet) over harrier-AC-130 cause while you control a killstreak, you might not get any kills from your own gun. It also distracts people a lot when there's a helicopter shooting at them.

I actually first played COD on PC but the framerate was crap and none of my friends played it on PC

well i ran up to them and they didnt open or i didnt see an action to open it.
so finally i hung around one long enough and noticed it cost 750 points to open it, and if you dont have enough the guy complains about a stripper taking all his money. a problem i can relate with..

Man, I rented this game and its unplayable online. Nothing but a lag fest. I guess it has something to do with the time of day/night I'm playing it, because last night it wasn't this bad. But right now I can't even get a decent game in because of the lagging. I can't even tell if how I feel about the multi-player improvements because I can barely play it.
Single player is OK, but so far it seems too much like MW2 which is all action all the time with endless enemy spawning. The graphics are noticeably a step down from MW2 and the Nuke Town map looks awful, looks like an N64 game.
To me, its an o.k. game, but nothing that has blown me away so far. I'm glad I rented it first, otherwise I'd be really upset now.

haha.. here is what I know now. I'm at work, and I'm looking forward to going home and playing this game. So while I hated the graphics at first, it's something that the gameplay and experience is making up for. I also did see lag when I was playing, but I just thought to myself it was probably because so many people were trying to play it. So I kind of grinned and beared it. And last night when I was playing I had absolutely no issue with lag. Ok well once or twice there was a dude who was doing the "running in place" thing, but he was actually active, so I just shot him. haha. And, regardless of the flack the maps are taking, I actually am enjoying most of them. Even the target training one is interesting to me, with the fake targets interspersed with real ones. I wish the Jungle map would come into rotation more often, its the first such map where I've felt like I'm really in a jungle. really nice. I've only got to play it once so far. And, I'm looking forward to going through the levels and getting all the guns etc. I compare this to BFBC2 which I probably played for about 3 days, then stopped because it was too boring. Medal of Honor didn't hold my attention like this either. Finally, I have not felt any desire to play MW2.

Ugh I hate Bobby Kotick. You know he's throwing his Benjamins around in the air right now and prancing around like a queen about that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the DLC is $20 this time around. He's gonna push the envelope for whatever can make his company the most money. I mean, that's his job and all but man he's milking gamers for all that he can.
I think I'm just grasping at straws though, trying to make excuses. I'll play it at a friend's house or rent it soon. I'll probably like it, though as some of you mentioned the grenades/explosions sound weak. They sound like a low "puf" more than a ground shaking BOOM. Nitpicking now, but yeah some things just don't sound as authoritative... like the hitmarkers and the guns.

Edit* Press the triggers to break out of the chair at the menu. Walk behind the chair and you'll see a computer. Enter the code there.
Just got done with zombie mode at Round 14. Found the secret box; got the AUG and a RPG. A fucking rocket launcher against zombies.
But then some bald headed mother fucker teleported everyone and took my AUG leaving me to fight with the RPG. Needless to say, I went out with a bang.

I initially didn't like multiplayer but it's starting to get fun once you get the hang of it. Definitely slower than MW2 but its a nice change.
But does anyone have problems with XBOX Live when you have a party of 6 or more? It always takes multiple tries just to get everyone in one game lobby. Pretty annoying. Hopefully its just because they haven't tested their servers for the 3 million+ users at one time.
