Me and my friends will be playing on PC.... I've claimed the ninja sniper looking dude, one's claimed the psychokinetic chick, and another has already taken the dual wielding gunzerker.

The trailers have all looked awesome so far. Can't wait.

I really tried to get into the first one, but I couldn't. The gameplay is fun, but there is just no plot. I didn't have anyone I knew in real life to play with, so that took a lot of the fun out of it.

borderlands is the posterchild for a Multiplayer RPG done right IMO.

 

The best part of the first one is the Zombie Isle mod...HILARIOUS dialog, scary and tough gameplay...highly reccomend

 

the intro was amazing.

After finally setting everything up, played a good 2.5 hours. The game is even funner than I remember. Using the disposable guns takes some getting used to, and is hilarious.

 

loved it, played till 5 a.m. and had to drive to work to avoid oversleeping.

will do again tonight.

I installed off the CD, and it says "borderlands 2 launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close"......

UGH.

I updated my video card drivers and reinstalled the game, and nothing.

anyone have any fix to this?

 

seems to work now. I had to install the Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 file...duno why this didn't install by itself. so annoying.

gonna roll a siren to coop with my friends. they're all in their 20s though. gonna take me a while hahah

 

it's actually better for you than for them. I've noticed underleveled chars level a lot faster when playing with higher ups. I've almost caught up to my level 11 friend from 1 in one gaming session.

 

the buddy leveling system is WAY faster than it used to be.

in the original game, enemies that earned the higher level, earned the same amount for the lower character.

now, when i get 1-2XP, my friend that is 10 levels below me earns 500-1000xp

 

oooo yea you're right. my friend joined my game at lvl 1...just went up the building up to flynt and killed him and he was lvl 4 or 5 by the time it was done.

 

yep. I went from 16 to 18 last night playing with two friends at lvl 18-19.

I got a revolver pistol that does something like 239 damage, 9 rounds, scoped, and fires as fast as you can press the button. It's the best gun i have right now sadly in terms of dps. Beats the blue dahl sniper rifle i have. Level 18 Axton here. Kind of trying to build tanky and have a strong turret.

 

damn 239 at lvl 18 is nice. my weapons are so shitty...and i'm building my siren to be a team medic but i'm soloing to get up to my friend's levels. it's hard as fuck when all i have are healign abilities with no one to heal.

 

What guns do you guys use, I have a level 20 sniper with 429 damage, Jacobs. I've been playing with the slot machines in sanctuary. Spent 50k so far on them, got some pretty nice weapons. My friend found a Jacobs sniper the other day with 909 damage, 180% crit damage, level 26.

 

lvl 20 jacobs sniper with 738 damage, +50% melee, +15% gun damage

With a crit hitting ~5000 damage, but the enemies move really quickly nowadays

 

im at level 26? my sniper is a lvl 23 with around 800 damage per round. 9 round clip and shoots as fast as you pull the trigger... its the end all enemies weapon right now for me.

im not much a sniper in these games but the damage is too high to put the thing away. and i upgraded the sniper SDU all the way so i almost never run out of ammo

i found a rocket launcher with 2,300x3 damage and fire element damage cant use till next lvl.

 

just beat the game last night with some buds. level 30 axton, with a machine pistol that does 730 something damage, 33 rounds (after class mod).

Also have a scopeless rifle that does a little over 1k damage, not very useful for me cause i dont have any crit bonuses like Zero does apparently. According to my friend he was doing something like 100k crits with a sniper rifle.

 

Yea.... playing Zer0 as a sniper is ridiculous at times.

His action skill not only makes him invisible and thus is an temporary aggro dump, but it also increases his damage for the next attack by a crapload. Then you can stack a bunch of crit dmg bonus abilities. There's a skill in the sniper-oriented tree that reveals the crit locations on enemies bodies as well.

 

lvl 23 zer0...i have a bunch of snipers, one fire one is really good, and a good pistol that does corrosive dmg for the bots and great zoom.
