Ferrari Modena Biturbo...
Whoa...fast little bugger! Definitely can keep up with a McLaren!
===================
2000 Novitec F360 Supersport
Without a doubt, the epicenter of European tuning can be found Germany. In no other country can you find companies such as Hamann and Novitec who have no qualms about modifying the outrageous super cars from Maranello.
Novitec have been upgrading Alfa Romeos, Fiats and Lancias for some time, but recently have offered an accessory range for the 360 Modena and Spider. Under the Novitec Rosso name, the company has launched an extensive program for the 360 not limited just to aesthetics, but also including a bi-turbo option which greatly improves peak power.
A Bi-Turbo 360
Novitec modifies the 360 engine to two specific states of tune. What Novitec calls the Sport engine is the more drivable option having 555 horsepower, turbocharged V8. For 5000 more euros, the system can be specifically tuned to reveal 606 horsepower at 8600 rpm, that is 211 more horsepower than the factory specification.
To achieve this power, the 360 Supersport starts off with a new carbon fiber intake plenium which works with a modified induction tract. With the addition of twin turbos, the forced induction is the main source of the extra horsepower. Further modifications include new injectors, new water coolers, twin intercoolers and updated engine mototronics.
Also available with the engine upgrade is a stainless steel exhaust system which bypasses the flap used to meet noise level regulations. The usual Modena uses a regulatory flap to control emissions and noise during city driving
A Bi-Turbo 360
Like the engine, the suspension upgrades are offered in Sport and Supersport packages. The Supersport package includes three-way adjustable shock absorbers. As for braking, Novitec are proud to offer a composite ceramic disc which Ferrari have only offered on the Enzo. Available with rosso, black or silver calipers the system requires nineteen inch wheels to clear the 15 inch (380mm) discs.
Body
Novitec offer many pieces which include carbon fiber replacements for the original aluminum pieces. Such panels include front, rear and side skirts, bumpers, wings and a complete underbody in carbon fiber.

gt40 is still on top considering this thing costs $221k and still didn't pass the gt40's 3.7 o-60 time.

couple of things:
1- you are quoting some of the things i said and then quoting things other people said. If you have a point to make with zeroday, take it up with him.
2- this is aftermarket kit available having NOTHING to do with ferrari.
3- gt40< ferrari :P
4- this ferrari was the AT not the MT....MT would put down more power and would be quicker than the gt40.

i think iit might be called the Novitec 360 F1 Supersport for a reason.
i doubt someone would have much luck getting significantly better times using the standard 6-speed vs the the 6-speed f1 transmission even if it was available.

MT=i do have to push down a clutch.......
that is the difference in addition to the drivetrain loss AND the ability to launch the car. Unless this thing has launch control I can use everytime i don't want to hear it......
please nothing....

gt40 IMHO isn't as sexy as the modena. GT40 is a powerful looking car but it's not a ferrari. I wish people would get off the "it's an american car that is in the same class so now it's automatically better than what's out there so let me give ford a rim job"
gt40 gets cred.....but again Ferrari is Ferrari. Ford isn't Ferrari........could they become ferrari........sure.......is ford, ferrari right now? No it isn't. People JUST NEED TO ACCEPT IT.
Acura isn't BMW, LEXUS, MB, AUDi.....doesn' make it any worse of a car.....
put the two cars next to each other.....you can almost wager your house, majority of people will find the 360 more appealing. Now im talking a diverse group.....not the nascar crowd.
Latest word is that the gt40 will be priced pretty close to 150k. Performance wise sure.........but at that price point it isn't just about performance......

So? Who talked about sexy? You said "gt40 who?" when you heard of this non-Ferrari modified Modena. Like the Modena is now superior to the GT since it's now more powerful. How is that relevant to sexy?

Absolutely. Like the Modena is no Ford GT.

Have no idea what your point is above, but I think we agree. The facts are:
1. Ferrari is an exclusive exotic sports car maker.
2. FOrd is the second largest automaker on the planet since before we were alive (I assume you're not really old)
3. The GT is an exotic sports car, just made by Ford, to:
a) Commemorate the GT40s of the 60s and to
b) make a pinnacle car to improve on the Ford name and hopefully, share technology with other..."lesser" models of the future (imagine future Ford Mustang Cobras sharing technology with the GT! - that would be phenomenal). The Modena was chosen as the competitor to BEAT for that pinnacle car.

I dont think the NASCAR crowd will be able to afford the GT. No offense.
NOTE: Ford expects to sell 1500 GTs a year. That's a feat if it'll happen.

Again. I say, we'll see how it sells. How can you draw conculsions before you see how the market will accept the car?
