Yes, it's not that hard to get kills with it. I would know, that's the only way I could get to the squad that was fucking with the entire server via the MAVs.

I know how to aim just fine.

And by your replies I'm going to assume you've never encountered an organized swarm of them.

^Good headphones makes a huge difference. My wife complained about that too so headphones was a Christmas gift to myself.

Game play wise it really helps you have a better grasp on sound depth and location. Far better then any bad ass stereo is going to give you imho...

Ya I completely agree.they make a big difference,you can hear all kinds of things you just can't pick up with surround,There all I use now.this particular model was a little more spendy then its competitors. But the sound and build quality are very nice.

Fuck this shit, seriously. It's happening all the time now. Last night I joined 3 servers. The first two had a squad, all running and OWNING the server via MAV kills.

I don't care what you all say, when people are good with it, they can dominate this style of game play with them.

Seriously it's not that hard, I've had 4 of them comig after me once.. I took out 2 and managed to bore the other 2 probably cause they couldn't kill me.

Just gotta go defensive/play smart if you see alot of them

^What I'm having to do is switch from my rifle to a shotgun for a few rounds until they get bored with it. Then resume normal game play. But still, it's crazy annoying.

had a few come after me at once and like I said earlier they do get me but it's rare.....and think about it, its good for your team on conquest/rush. You have 4-5 players IDLE just spotting people TRYING to get kills. Then on some boards you'll have other "air whores" that stay in choppers/jets and fight in the sky. Another 3-6 players not getting objectives. The m-cons and flags are just yours for the taking and that's what wins games.

edit: I love finding people that let out mavs, do mortars, and eod bots right out in the open.....they get a 44 to the head.

On a sidenote, been using support to finish up the assignment and got a sweet multi kill yesturday. It was awesome, I put C4 on a tank and when I turned around to run I noticed a jeep coming at me full speed for a roadkill. I dropped another C4 on the ground and blew us all to hell. 2 vehicles and 5 dudes and nobody got the satisfaction of taking me out. I felt like a taliban suicide bomber.

The mav kills other mavs really easily. You can just get one, fly higher than the others, and take them all out. Same thing if the other team is wrecking you with soflam, take it out with a mav

That's like when I load up a jeep with AT mines, I just charge in and eject from the jeep, sets off all the mines and blows up me and whatever is nearby

Of course I hate when I'm in a squad and some idiot spawns in my jeep

I used to LOVE the mines and racked up the most hours in the engineer class but the C4 has really grown on me. Theres too much to do in this game, I wanna do it all and at once. lol

I load up jeeps with the C4 now and it either works out BEAUTIFULLY or BAD...if you shoot the C4 it blows and your a goner. Does the same happen with mines? I always laid out mines around objectives never loaded up a jeep time to go mobile

I guess I probably bitch about the MAVs so much because I don't ever play rush or conquest, I only play TDM.

In conquest I wouldn't care if they want to waste their time like that. But on a small, crowded, TDM map it gets to be a bit too much.

I did get better at taking them out last night. In the end I've found it's best for me to get my back up to a wall and entice them to come get me. When they come and hit the wall, BAM time.

If you're playing BF3 on console and playing TDM only... you're doing it wrong

The game for you is here. I came 5 years of COD where it was 90% TDM and I used to consider how good I was by my K/D ratio. No more, please.

I play TDM, but a good 70% of the time it's Conquest for me. I'll go ahead and say it, TDM in BF3 just sucks ass most of the time. You have play on the right maps and have the right amount of people in the server.... no more than 24 people total. Canals is just a claymore + shotgun fest. Most maps just aren't laid out well for TDM... sometimes you see someone spawn in front of you.




and there's nothing wrong with playing console btw, it's just that COD is ideal for a console game and it's just not the same playing BF3 on a console vs. PC.

The game is what you make it to be. TDM is a blast. This is the first FPS I've ever actually played on a console. I've played around with many and never felt the urge to play any real length of time on them until BF3. And this is coming from an ex-professional counter-strike player that loves FPSs. Thus my love of TDM.

I'll play conquest too. Not a fan of rush though. And I'll agree about the spawn points. The only map I don't like in TDM is Kharg Island. It's just like you said, claymores, shot in the back with a shotgun, it's just too tight. So when that loads I bail out of the server. But on most maps you learn the ebb and flow of the two teams spawn points.

And yes I would consider how good I am by my kd ratio. That's all I play for. I don't care about points. I mean I'll still defib a fallen teammate, lay down ammo and health, etc, but I all I care about is that ratio. I could be half way down the scoreboard at 12-2 and be a happy man...

LANDED MY FIRST JET BY ACCIDENT!! I was trying to take out a hovering chopper so he tried to be slick and landed. I got a couple shots off but couldn't get a lock....so after I turned around I tried to slow down to get a good shot and ended up roadkilling one dude and taking out the chopper. Next thing i know I'm a couple feet in front of the explosion landed in the desert!! I went through the explosion untouched.THIS GAME IS AWESOME, I was so into it I think I forgot to breathe because I was out of breath after it happened. I sat in the jet for a second after like you sit in the car with that feeling in your stomach after a near miss.

SO MANY more options in conquest/rush and in general TDM for BF3 is weak...Sometimes I'm in the mood to blow shit up so rush satisfies that need. When I wanna run and gun I go to COD disks. I'm a 15 prestige on black ops for PS3 AND Xbox and I really never play anything but TDM. My MW3 disk is collecting dust because of BF3.

I can't finish up the last 2 assignments!!! all i need is 10 kills with the btr-90 to complete the first, I have 4 so far. The problem is not getting the kills, it's actually getting the damn vehicle. It's only on 3 maps and everybody jumps in it.

The last task I need to complete all the assignments is 5 squad deathmatch wins, I'm not a fan of BF3 Deathmatch and EVERYTIME I play my squad SUCKS. I just wanna win my 5, get my gun, and go back to conquest or the occasional rush.

Or maybe it was further. I was on gulf of Oman and was on top of the building. The tallest one, my plane got shot to shit so I bailed, I shot someone from there to the jet spawn point for the enemy (I'm US) and then Shot someone at the Veterans retreat flag

I just wanted to share the kill I got last night. TDM on Tehran Highway. I just got to level 43 or whatever so I finally got the scoped .44.

So I spawn, and there is the typical sniper camping up on the rocks behind that spawn point. You all know the spot I'm talking about. The one behind the spawn, way up in the rocks by the bigger building ontop of the hill? Well anyways, I spawned on the other side, where the upper and lower roads come to a point.

So I walk in about a third of the map, I zoom with my sv98, find the guy, and said what the hell, let's try the .44 scoped! Well it took me like 14 shots, two hits, second one being a headshot, across the map with the .44. I was practically aiming at the sky to compensate for the bullet drop. I didn't even think the gun would get that far but it did.

It had to of been a 250-300m .44 headshot. LOL

I think I busted through to level 44 last night. Playing TDM doesn't help the gaining levels cause though. Last I checked I have 104 hours of game time. I think if I had played conquest the entire time I'd be like level 55 by now. In TDM, even if I have a lot of kills, it usually yields sub 3k points per round. I jump on a conquest game though and 5-6k points is a whole lot easier to obtain.

I've been on a roll lately. Consistently 4-5:1 k/d with recon class.

Speaking of classes, anyone know what the points bonus is for a class service star #2 is? Is it the same as #1? I think #1 was only 10k points. I'm like just shy of both assault and recon service star 2s...
