Bump, up until now I thought this game was coming out in a bout a month. Looks like it has been pushed back until late this year

crappy that im forced to buy the "Epic" version though b/c limited sold out in like 2 days..

 

Pre-ordered it and got to play the beta, completely awesome.

 

Ooo he let on that there might be a prequel to the first GoW...how interesting. Maybe we'll see how Marcus got thrown in jail from the first GoW. Can't wait for this game to come out.

Debating on picking it up. Had the second one but hardly ever played it since my gf bought it for me around the same time COD came out last year which I was much more into. I need something to hold me off till COD though so this might be it.

Are you guys playing the campaign with other people, 4-player co-op style, or just solo?

 

I'm replaying it again on Hardcore mode with my buddies.

 

if it's over in 7-8 hours you should stop playing on the first 2 difficulty settings

 

Maybe I'm doing it wrong or not, but I played the first couple of missions last night and I kept running out of ammo. I would unload entire clips into the enemy and the bastards wouldn't explode! Normal or am I shooting wrong?

 

Yeah I'm running out of ammo a lot too. Also I used up my grenades on the first level, and still haven't found any more. If you hold LT over your teammates, they'll give you their gun, but it doesn't seem to work all the time.

I'm not sure if we're shooting the enemies wrong, or is it just that they take that many shots to kill. I'm not sure if you got to the gunkers yet, but those bastards are tough to bring down.

 

when in doubt, aim for the head.

control your burst with the lancer/hammerburst... unloading a clip may not be necessarry, sometimes enemies stun, or stumble away making bullets miss.

but i use the pistol/longshot a lot...headshots ftw.

also, be resourceful... if youre low on lancer amo, pick up a hammerburst... there will be another lancer soon

 

I'm hitting them in the head and it still takes a lot of ammo to kill some of the enemies. I'll see how it goes tonight and maybe my shots register

 

Story was so epic.

 

Doesn't really bother me in the slightest. I blitzed through it bc I enjoyed the story & wanted to see how it ended. Now that I've done that, I can always go back through on Hardcore with my friends.

 

hey, everyone does it differently!

i explore the maps, looking for artifacts and cog tags. i watch all cut scenes and immerse myself in the story.. i usually break up sessions into 1-2 acts... then continue the next day, always with friends.

then the insane campaign starts... usually only doing a few "chapters" in a sitting lol.

after insane is complete... i never play through it again..lol
its either MP or Hoarde after that.

 

Just finished it. Very short. I haven't even had the game a week yet. Very fun game as always and very good story. I'm not sure if I will play it online because I really didn't find the beta online play very enjoyable.

I'm more than likely going to play through campaign again to get my game stats up, and this time I'm going to play on one of the harder levels. Normal was way too easy.
