The latest car pack is kinda meh. But I do like the Alfa Spider. Its a decent little car with the right mods. I also bought this, modded it, then sold it since there really is no use for it. Forza needs to implement some form of rally driving IMO.

I don't know about the competitiveness of the cars in the back, but they all seem to be quite a bit of fun. I love my v8 fiero.

 

Yea, I dropped the 6.2l into the Fiero and it was quite fun. Listening to it idle was nice too

Oh! I forgot to mention, I didn't notice that the CR-Z has start-stop in the game. I came to a stop while doing some tuning and I notice the tach at zero. The cool thing is that you can put it in sixth gear from a stop and still have enough power to get off the line. The ICE kicks in around 1800rpms. My CR-Z does have the upgraded electric motor though, so I dont know if it will pull off in sixth when stock. I commend the realism of putting start-stop on the hybrids, but I take issue with one little thing - if I go WOT then let off really quickly below 1k rpms, you hear the BOV, but the engine isnt running. Its a very small detail but still annoys me.

 

I can't get the damn CR-Z and I never got my 1M. Wtf.

Check out the second post down from KYLE-BBY. Supposedly the code was supposed to be on your receipt, but most people didn't get it. And returning to the store didn't resolve anything as most BBY associates are retarded. I just hope for your sake it isnt too late to get the code.

I got my copy of the game from the Microsoft store, and they emailed me the code on the release day.

The fun starts at post 86, but sadly the good ones were deleted

Basically:

-Potroast claims to have sold his "mint condition" CL for $11,500
-JBlue and everyone else calls shenanigans
-Potroast doesnt back down
-JBlue uses his connections at a dealer to get a CarFax report showing previous front end collision and current ownership (Potroast never sold it)
-Potroast tries laughing it off
-JBlue has his connections within NYPD run the VIN, further proving - with a screenshot - that the car is still owned by Potroast (well technically his parents)

JBlue (who Ive met in person and is a really nice dude) does go after Potroast a lot, but that's because he is constantly posting misinformation. And of course I can't forget that Potroast was happy that JBlue was in a car accident and received pretty bad injuries a year or two ago.

While some of this stuff took a bit of work to uncover, it was relatively easy. We knew what his license plate was when he posted pics of the car and we knew what the VIN was when he posted the car for sale on eBay.

And for once, I didn't have anything to do with him being banned this time The message I received from him on XBL was completely unprovoked too. It just goes to show his true personality.

I just bought an XBox purely to play Forza 4. I even bought a MadCatz force feedback steering wheel.

I. Am. Hooked. I can't pull myself away! Now to join the AZ Club.....already have a Miata and BMW 2002 in the garage from my "play career".

Spent hours yesterday on "free play". Note: their CTS-V is missing the supercharger whine that is always present in real life in my modded V.

 

It is very addicting. Even more so with the steering wheel. I still need to build my rig but for the time being Ive been using a thrown together stand that doesnt work too well.

Bump up the supercharger to the "Race" supercharger and you'll hear the whine. It's faint but it's there.

 

Yep. I do wish the blowers were a bit louder in FM4. I remember the first Forza, when it had the CL-S in it and the supercharger would howl.

Different topic - If the past is any indication, the new car pack should be coming out next week. I havent seen anything about it yet though. I really wish they would add some superlights into this game - Ariel Atom, Caterham Se7en, KTM X-Bow, original Mini..... but from their track record, I dont see that happening.

Yea, starting to follow in Gran Turismos footsteps with redundant models. Once Forza has 18 R34 GTRs, Im onto computer racers for good.

Well, I havent built my wheel rig yet (Ive finalized the plans though), but I adapted my old "stand" - and by that I mean a cheap stand made from $20 worth of PVC pipe - to securely hold the Fanatec wheel.

Its completely transformed the driving dynamics of the game. Its addicting. I also suck I need to work on some of the settings within the wheel itself, but Im loving it.

I only have the regular CSR wheel, but I did get the Elite pedals. I dont know what the difference is between the Elite and the regular CSR pedals, but it was a gift The build quality on the entire set is top notch. The pedals are all aluminum. They feel great. Its easy to remove them from the base and mount them upside down, like a real car, which I will be doing when I build my rig. The shifter is nice too, the ball has nice weight to it. The wheel feels great. The faux? alcantara is a nice touch. The buttons are solid. The only thing that sucks is you dont have the right stick, so you cant look around when driving or use the photo mode fully. Once I build my rig Ill post some pics.

One thing is for certain, having a clutch that you can modulate makes all the difference in launching hard. Im cutting faster times in the 1/4 mile races now since I can launch harder. I still need to work on my heel-toe though.
