that's what I like too. I don't like racing stock high power cars, ferrari and lambo... I got a MK1 GTI with a AWD swap and a 2.0T from a MK5 gti. It's a C class and pretty fun to race with. Awesome handling and the car is only 2300lb.

You could buy a design specifically for the car, but I actually bought the rust designs by themselves so I can use them on multiple cars. I covered the entire car in the grey vinyl first since its not as glossy as the paint (I wish there was a matte paint option) then put the rust graphics wherever.

In any race, just hit the left d-pad button. You'll notice the timer up top switches to a score counter.

I picked up a 2002 turbo. I did mostly chassis work but also did the exhaust and turbo upgrades. Its dog shit slow before 3k rpms then hits 29.5psi and takes off like a bat out of hell

Its fun as hell to drift too. Its not as smooth as the Volvo but its much more ass happy and Ive gotten better scores with it. I suck at drifting though. Im trying to get 100k points on Fuji. The best Ive gotten so far was ~71k. I kill it on the tight, technical turns but the high speed (relatively speaking) sweepers are what gets me and I end up spinning out right when I hit ~4k points.

Gotta keep trying.

A friend of mine kinda cheated on fuji to get the 100k achievement. You can start a online race and turn down the traction and do it in a slow car. I was angry as I has busted my ass doing it without, but I guess it works.

also, Sony plans to make more models premium quality via software updates in the future.

bad car models on Forza has been an issue from day one, its nothing new. I just thought they might have been better in 2010. wrong.

the lambos on Automobili Lamborghini for 64 looked like lambos but that doesnt mean its acceptable by today's standards...

just over 1,000 cars and 800 of them with wii graphics...

they may have put extra detail into the 200 cars that are actually premium(and i agree they look great).. but i'd rather have 500 visually pleasing cars then be confined to select vehicles..

besides.. GT5 is late to the game.. Forza 4 in less than 1 year. (and they mean it)

Forza has and always will have inferior car modeling. and, I'm not talking about details. I'm talking about dimensions and lines. I have a feeling you probably don't know what I'm talking about. It's ok. I think I should give you some background, I started college back in the day at one of the best design schools in the country, because I wanted to design cars for a living. Because, that's pretty much all I did in high school and grade school, draw cars (and robots). That didn't go through for whatever reason and I ended up in IT. But anyways, the passion and fire still burn. And so I'm VERY nitpicky about many technical things of that nature. /disclaimer

Nah, most of the models are good. There are some "bad ones" like you posted but hell, like the Veyron is not a premium model and it looks great. Same goes for the mkiv Supra. They clearly didn't spend as much time on certain cars but 99% of the time those are cars I have no desire to drive. lol. And again as I said, cars like the Veyron and Supra will likely get upgraded in the future. Gotta love software updates.
