I'M SUPER PUMPED RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I bought this Moser MT900 and did a few upgrades to get it to R3-800:

Then during career I did 4 stages of Rally di Positano. I came in the following places on XBL:

Stage A-#350
Stage B-#312
Stage C-#332
Stage C Reverse-#253

I've been playing Forza 2 and 3 for over three years and I've never placed so high on the leaderboards.

Besides that, I've been flipping cars like hell recently. I went from 950,000cr three days ago to over 2,600,000cr tonight. With that money, I bought the Mosler and these as well:

I should be done with career by the end of the year.

A part of me wants to get a PS3 just to get GT5 but considering I haven't even finished FM3 yet, it's not worth it.

That G37 is hideous. It may be fast but

I personally think Forza is better bang for the buck.

GT5 is no where near worth $500. (PS3 + GT5)

I'm going to break it down here for ya guys...my personal opinion on GT5 vs FM3:

Pros for GT5:
- Graphics are great
- Over 1,000 cars available
- VERY EASY to save photos to a thumb drive and put them on a computer
- Smoke for burnouts and exhaust look good
- Top Gear, Go-Karts, NASCAR adds some alternate ways to race

Cons for GT5:
- Non-premium cars look kinda rough (about 80% of the cars on GT5 are non-premium )
- Forget about adding vinyl decals
- Adding parts to your car sucks compared to FM3.
- CANNOT UPGRADE BRAKES?!?! WTF MOTHAFUC*&#(*&!@!!!!!
- Menu's are kinda wacky
- PS3 controller is garbage.....period
- There are a lot more cons that I can't think of right now.

Anyway....when comparing this game to FM3 I honestly think FM3 is the winner, and it didn't take them 12 years to make FM3. I can spend HOURS on Forza without even putting rubber on the road.

^Nice comparison Rhodes. I was about to pull the trigger on a PS3 but I decided to get my ATLP exhaust instead. Damn mod bug

Even though I really want the PS3 and GT5, I think I'm going to wait a bit. Like o2cls said, it's going to be $500 for the set-up and NO video game is worth that much. GT5 looks dope, and I'm sure it's fun to play, but I'll get my moneys worth out of FM3 first.

Picked up a new 360 this afternoon to replace mine which the padres bought from me.

Came with FM3. Will be cool to check it out. I only have FM2. I won't lie. Last time I put FM2 in, I got bored pretty quick. I think you just have to be into the whole modifying/taking pictures thing I guess.

If I had a PS3, getting GT5 would be a no-brainer. That's like getting a Xbox and thinking about not getting Halo

I'm looking forward to FM4 as well. I have no idea when it will be coming out, but I know I'll have a copy the day it comes out.

Congrats! The new 360 is pretty damn cool looking. Modifying the cars is a large part of the game but taking pictures isn't really crucial to enjoy the game. The only reason why I take pictures is to post them in this thread.

$500? Try $360 and tax. Let's be realistic.

Both games are fantastic. I'll bet brake upgrades come as an update. I'm addicted to GT5, and I could never say that about FM3. FWIW.

Okay true. Probably $400 total since I want the Limited Collectors Edition

But like I said before, no video game is really worth that much. It's the only PS game I'm interested in. The only other reason I was considering one is for the Blu Ray feature.

Pure content = GT5
Graphics on ALL cars = FM3

The lack of G25/27 support for XBox pisses me off. The only reason I dont play FM3 alot is because of the goddamn RROD. I havent played GT5 since Wednesday, when I spent about 5 hours total on it. Its good, but I guess I was expecting more. I wouldnt rush out and drop ~$300 on a PS3 if GT5 is the only reason for buying it. However I do believe that every home theater deserves a PS3 in it.

Morgan your 360 has the RROD? That sucks dude.

Without a doubt I want a PS3 with GT5 but I'm not willing to drop that kind of money after I just bought my exhaust and with Christmas coming up so quickly. I have yet to buy anything for my girlfriend or parents

My last one did and I can tell this one is getting ready to go. One thing that seamed to help me though was copying Forza to the HDD. It doesnt freeze as much anymore nor is it overheating as much.

BTW, I can officially say that GT5 bores me and I prefer FM3. I just wish it supported my steering wheel

That's what I said about the clutch...even though I would probably never use it anyways.

You know what's weird...GT5 was supposed to be some GOD in the racing simulation world, but it kinda sucks compared to FM3.

Am I the only one who isnt crazy about the driving dynamics? I always play with all driver aids off but ABS and it just didn't feel natural in GT5... In Forza I can feel it a lot more when the car is starting to slide and can easily catch a drift in and out. It takes a certain feel for driving video games to feel right for me...which is why i never really liked the NFS series.

I think because of such a long wait for it everyones expectations grew. But IMO its not as good as FM3.

The menus suck, modding cars suck, you cant upgrade brakes, and the worst is 80% of the cars in the game are "standard" cars and because of that the graphics on them suck. Ive spent about 10hrs on it and Im still trying to figure out what the hell took them so long in releasing it. Were they paid by the hour? Did they want the intro video to be perfect? Because I think they spent alittle too much time on that intro and not enough on the 800 standard cars. And wtf is with all the GT-Rs? Two or three is ok, 4 is pushing it, but 30??? WTF?!?!?! Id be much happier with 2 GT-Rs in the game and 28 of the "standard" cars taking the place of the other premium GT-Rs.

I can sit there and play Forza for hours on end. Last night I was playing GT5 for alittle over an hour and I was bored out of my mind.

I tried very hard to like it the first time I played over at my buddy's house but I just couldn't see spending hours on it.

I always dip the clutch to drift around.

I always thought the cars feel like they just slide around...I remember the first Forza I played, I was in love with the "grippyness" of the cars.

Allthough Gt5 (..all GT's for that matter) is pretty...I dunno...for some reason, Forza just doesn't seem as bland. Plus I liked how they managed to put pretty much only the best cars in the game. Seems all my fav's are there.

If Turn10 did what they did for Forza 3 from Forza 2, while making the 4th installment things will get interesting.

Im also very interested in what NFS Shift 2 has to offer since, according to EA they have their sights on both FM and GT. Do yourself a favor and play that game on an HD setup and be blown away (love the heat shimmer and interior views)

I honestly believe there is very little between the way they both control with a wheel. I think the real difference is the way the two companies treat the controller when it comes to damping the input from the controllers. Forza is quite a bit more direct. You can pretty much take the wheel from lock to lock and then catch the drift with a couple of twitches. GT (and this becomes very apparent when you watch the interior view steering wheel) will ease into the turn and then when you counter steer it will snap back, but when you need it to snap back it will ease back into the turn instead. Also I do agree that the gt abs is terrible, but I play without it.

The parts that actually annoy me are the things that deal with the tuning of the car. I would give up 10-20 nissan gtr's for tire pressure and axle ratio adjustment.

Same thing happens to me. Drives me crazy! I really want the LF-A.

I'm almost done with the game so I rewarded myself with a few new cars. I didn't make them all silver on purpose .....

I started playing again when I downloaded all the cars and packs. Love the new tracks and love the new cars more.

With GT5 coming out it rekindled my love for the series.

I'm pretty stingy about spending my Microsoft Points but ALL of the car packs are worth buying. The only one that I'm sort of iffy about is the one with the Morgan Aero 8 and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. The other cars in that pack are a little looking.
