Haas Inc (Chicago)
I am wondering if anyone has used Haas Inc for their Acura? (http://www.hondaclinic.com/)
I need to find a good if not excellent cost effective alternate for my Dealer -- I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience or recommend any other shops in the area. SW suburbs would be perfect but I am willing to drive extra few miles.

My car: 2004 Acura TL
Miles: 100k
Tires: new at 85k
Brakes: New at 65k
I need the following
1. Timing Belt replacement
2. Road noise has increased a lot in the past 2 months (one of threads mentioned wheel bearnings is the most probable one & if it is replace it)
3. Since 100k is a landmark -- I need someone to check all of my major parts to make sure they are in good condition & if not change them.
4. Anything else I need to do?
I am a "Dont fix until broke" guy but wifey drives with a 10 month old from time to time & I want to be absoluetly sure. Going to a bad repair shop & saying can you check & fix if broken seems like giving a blank check so any reco would help.
Thanks ppl

My sis got her civic's timing belt done by them years ago. Don't remember how much she paid but I do remember it was less than half of what the dealer (Pauly Honda) wanted. Haven't heard any complaints from her.
But I see that they're closed on Saturdays...I hate shops that are closed on Saturdays or only open for like 3 hours.

all I can say is for major stuff like timing belt I went to Joe Rizza Acura, they made me pay 965 and also did the valve adjustment for free....but lately I have had a horror sotry with nissan of orland park, they fucked up my moms car so I wont ever deal with them, but joe rizza acura in orland park, has not treated me bad yet, and I'm black im not sure if I should be expecting it or something.

oh dont ever go to anything that is related to Napelton, that guy charges so much for everything no wonder he is still in business, he quoted me 34 dollars for an upper radiator hose.....
went on rock auto and got it for 10.
Don't trust any Napelton dealership.

Ed Napleton? I went to one with my dad and they treated us very bad. I would never imagine being talk to and disrespected like they did. They lost my business for sure.

Another anti-Napleton here. I went into one of their chains to check out a car to buy. I had spoken with someone over the phone an hour before I arrived to make sure it was still there. Once I got in, asked where the car was, they said, "Oh, that car was sold 3 days ago!"
Asked to talk to the person who I had talked to over the phone, to which they replied, "Who is that? Nobody works here by that name." So I left thinking that the car wasn't there. Once I got home, I left a voicemail for the person I talked to over the phone saying I didn't appreciate being told the car was still available when it's not (tactic they pull trying to get you to "look around").
Next thing you know I get a call saying the car was there. I give them the benefit of the doubt and head back. The same people who told me the car was sold all of a sudden knew what rep I was speaking with & now treated me like as if they were a Walmart Greeter. I bet when I originally walked through the door they screened me based on appearance & said, "Nah, he's just window shopping." At the time, I was still a teenager.
But the car was a piece of crap (condition-wise) anyways. They tried to play me for a fool on how much stuff actually costs to replace (the guy had EBAY open, not to mention he searched for 'headlight bulb' when the car needed the whole assembly).
They even wanted my license before telling me where the car was (and I didn't even ask for the keys).
After that experience, I knew to avoid them.
