Kinda cool that the map update got pushed directly to my car while I was driving today. Got a notification on my MMI that there was an update and if I wanted to download it...selected yes and it was done in about 10 minutes. Pretty neat.

Right!?? Who the heck invented the curb? Why is it always in such an inconvenient spot? It's like they follow you!

It wasn't my car either, I felt terrible. The (Asian) girl I was dating didn't really care. Some time later I inspected the rest of her wheels and they all had curb rash

The in Asia are some of the best drivers i have witnessed tho.... i can say this... almost all of the drivers in the US will be scared to drive in Asia... Especially in places like Vietnam, i am not even gonna mention India or Rural part of China...
Most of us will not even be able to make a left turn there...

Girls are the roots of all problems...

Well, I never curbed my wheels until this car. Darn Hyundai Optima.

The first time I got in a car accident, I was like 3 or 4 years old. I was riding my power wheels down the sidewalk and was fixated on the girl next door, standing on her stoop. Crashed into the light pole (also appeared out of nowhere, like those pesky curbs) and started crying almost immediately.
Luckily my older brother was there to

I'll have you know that before I conned this one to marrying me, I've had other GFs.
Why else you think I slapped on a snowplow kit on my CL-S way back then??!??
I was actually a decent driver until old age, fatherhood, and marriage arrived.

Now, while I never curbed any wheels with the CL-S, I will confess to needing to repaint that goddayum Versus kit because well, too much snowplowing. And sometimes, taking that driveway for some parking lot or whatever too directly.

So RRY, I traded a lip problem for a rim problem.
Everything was fine with the FX unless you count the homeless man plowing into it with is bike as I was turning into the parking lot a couple years ago. Couldn't even charge him on that because well, he had no insurance and $$$.

So, since having the Hyundaudi Optima, it's been pretty much just for driving around town -- for work, errands, and etc. Yesterday, we decided to take it for a road trip and log about 460+ miles for our round trip trek. Impressions overall remain pretty much the same as I've posted so far but, I did for one small stretch, get the car to about 105mph and this is where it was just remarkable how effortless it got to that speed and with such smoothness. On the bumpier parts of the freeway, I figured that setting the car into Comfort mode helped with the stiffness and etc. but, otherwise, for most parts of drive, it was in Dynamic for obvious reasons. Strangely, I did not plow into any curbs when I had to park and etc. Woohoo!
Lots of bugs on the front now that I need to remove. That should be fun.
And oh, the Aston Martin just HAD to park behind me as I was feeling good about the Optima and not plowing it into a curb. Jerk.
